Scott Dierking
Let's assume a couple of things here: A-Rod will leave the Yankees this year. A-Rod will finish his career with the next team he signs with (stretch, I know) A-Rod will finish with 700 plus homers A-Rod will get elected to the HOF. Whose cap does Major League Baseball assign for his bust? Seattle I would guess??

I guess Seattle would be the proper choice... maybe let him choose?

ECURB
Players can no longer choose Why the Yankees? If he couldnt choose... I would say whichever team he was with the longest while still a starting player... so if he was with the Yankes longer than Seattle I would say put him in a Yankees cap... I would say whichever team he was with the longest while still a starting player... so if he was with the Yankes longer than Seattle I would say put him in a Yankees cap... He had 5 full seasons with Seattle (parts of 2 others), 3 with Texas and this is his fourth year with the Yankes. If he goes, you could assume 7 to 8 years (maybe more) more. Depends how much he loves the game, how stat hungry he is and how his body breaks down as well how much money he really needs.
PFSIKH
Since he hypothetically finished his career with the next team,I'd say he'd go in wearing their hat That would be my guess depending on how long he plays with them. As long as he stays with one team, I would guess them.

shutout
Would they be willing to shell out for him after spending so much this past year? Not to mention the $$$ its gonna cost to keep Zambrano.
The Troll
Would they be willing to shell out for him after spending so much this past year? Not to mention the $$$ its gonna cost to keep Zambrano. I am actually starting to think that trading Zambrano would be the best option. I just can't see him ever buckling down in a playoff game and being dominant. The guy can't even pitch on opening day because he gets too excited. He would IMPLODE in the playoffs. Rich Hill has been the Cubs best pitcher since the ASB last year. Of course, Hendry will probably resign him. And we will stick with Cesar Izturis and Ronnie Cedeno at short.
shawn306
Would they be willing to shell out for him after spending so much this past year? Not to mention the $$$ its gonna cost to keep Zambrano. After all the money they spent this year. Of course they would. Money is suddenly no object to the Cubs. As it has suddenly become with the Mets and Red Sox as well. A-Rod goes into the HOF with the hat of the team that he breaks the record with.

Maxman
Since he hypothetically finished his career with the next team,I'd say he'd go in wearing their hat He could play for another 10 years. He would go in with the cap of the next team. But there won't be one. He is a Yankee for life. You heard it here first.
mbn007
Personally, I think he stays a Yankee. If it came about as your senario has it, you have to figure that he ends 2007 with 515 career HRs (approx 50 this year). That means, that for him to finish with 700+, he night need 6-7 more seaons, taking into account that he may slow down in his later 30s. So he will have played most of his career with that last team. I expect then that is the team he would wear on his cap.
