MiamiJet Posted May 19, 2005 Share Posted May 19, 2005 This movie looks good as hell. Anyone interested in this? I didn't know who Cinderella Man was until I read some info on him. It's a true story about a man from NY who lived during the Great Depression who became a World Champion and national hero. He struggled for awhile trying to make a living for his family, until he won some big fights, and finally faced the world champ Max Baer, whom he defeated. His rise from the slums to champion makes for a great story. Russell Crowe looks like he has a real winner here. I read he got beat up pretty bad training and filming this movie, suffering concussions, broken teeth, etc. Tough SOB. Anyway, another boxing movie might win the Oscar. Can't wait.
