CrazyCarl40
If they were going position by position thats how they would shake out. If they do just 3 OF regardless of position, it may change things. Especially for Vlad in the AL and Carlos Lee in the NL.
MasonJet
My AL All-Star team, just for poops and giggles: C-Victor Martinez 1B- Kevin Youkilis 2B- BJ Upton SS- Derek Jeter 3B- A-Rod.. by the smallest of margins over Mike Lowell LF-Carl Crawford CF-Torii Hunter RF-Magglio Ordonez SP- Josh Beckett NL C- Brian McCann 1B-Prince Fielder 2B-Dan Uggla SS-Hanley Ramirez.. just over JJ Hardy 3B-Chipper Jones LF-Matt Holliday CF-Aaron Rowand RF-Ken Griffey Jr. SP- Jake Peavy That's just my opinion. Tear it up. It's cool. Pretty good list although I think I would say Morneau over Youkilis. Youkilis is having a great year but Morneau is absolutely tearing it up lately, he has another homerun to night. And your NL starts seem pretty accurate but I barely pay any attention to the NL so w/e.
AVM
Beckett is pitching tonight. He has already gone 5 innings with 6 K's and hasn't given up a run (yet!) Before he went on the DL he was 7-0. Beckett went 7 innings with 7 K's, 3 hits and gave up 2 earned runs. I must say, i was worried he'd go out in the 3rd inning with a blister again. Im extremely happy i was proved wrong. Thor99
Youkilis deserves it over Ortiz, he's having an amazing season. He tailed off during the second half last year, but I hope he can keep it up.
CrazyCarl40
Want more proof that it's a popularity contest? Kevin Youkilis is not even on the AL All-Star ballot. Also, according to the rules if you vote for David Ortiz you cannot write Youkilis in. Good lord.
Blackout
its not like youkilis is better than Ortiz or Morneau anyway
CrazyCarl40
its not like youkilis is better than Ortiz or Morneau anyway Check the numbers and get back to me. As I type this Kevin Youkilis hits in his 22nd straight game.
124
Jeter, A-Rod & Posada all deserve a spot. Heck, so does Pettitte, but the bullpen and bats have screwed him out of a handfull of wins.
Thor99
Youkilis will make it, either by manager selection or that extra fan vote. Looks like Manny and Ortiz are in, Lowell and Beckett should be, Papelbon and Okajima most likely.
Gainzo
its not like youkilis is better than Ortiz or Morneau anyway When it comes to defense Youk is the best 1st baseman in MLB this year.
