Dale Sveum in the 6th

Pretty easy to blame Sveum. But Posada is the least agressive catcher not named Mike Piazza. Bellhorn was as dainty as a little girl and Damon plain gave himself up. If either pushed the issue and collided with him, they score at least one and may be more. If 5 consective hits vs. Big Unit doesn't get you more than 1 run, you can't complain.

Bugg, please, give it a rest! Bellhorn and Damon were out by a mile...neither had the opportunity to give themselves up. Womack had the ball in his glove before Damon even rounded third.

You should have left it at "Its easy to blame Dale Sveum" and called it a day!

It is easy to blame Dale Sveum! We had the Big Eunich (props to PSFIKH!) on the ropes and reigning body blows upon him, and Dale S gave 2 outs to NYY as he continued to do his Jimi Hendrix windmill impression at 3rd base! I hate Dale Sveum!!!

I have to side with JBF on this one.

First, Dale has done this countless times before. He must have a depth perception problem.

Last, on Bellhorn, Womack was shallow enough to be gunning the ball as soon as Bellhorn rounded third. Damon's play was not much better.

If Sveum was a crossing guard, he would get kids killed.

Posada shys away from contact like Santana Moss running out of bounds away from a defender. If you collided with him on both occasions, you have a 50/50 chance of knocking the ball out of his glove. And Womack, fresh of Tommy John surgery 2 years ago, made a once-in-a-lifetime throw. Posada actaully seems to flich both times anticipating contact there never came.
