Is Chris Chambers Miami's #1 target still?

If it isn't Chambers, then who would it be? Marty Booker? Hardly. After one magic season in Chicago he has fallen back to earth as an average / below average #2 receiver. Ted Ginn Jr. is strictly a returner at this point and can you name another Dolphin receiver? The guy from Arizona State? He has the dropsies.

Chambers may have been the worst starting WR in football last year.

A WR can only be as good as his QB... Just like a RB with no O-Line may seem to be garbage for the simple fact he has no holes to run through, or no time to hit the holes.

Look at the QB's who were throwing him the ball... Harrington??? Lemon? Chris Chambers was not the problem, and C.Chambers is far from the worst starting WR in the league.

Obviously you've not mastered the art of sarcasm

How do you explain Chambers' Pro Bowl year? He had Gus Ferotte throwing him the ball. So you said a "WR can only be as good as his QB". So Chambers, acording to your statement and your reasoning will have a break out year. The addition of Green with his multiple Pro Bowls and multiple 4,000 yrd seasons should allow Chambers to really shine this year.

On a side note, "a WR can only be as good as his QB", I guess there's no way Crotch and Coles are gonna each have 1,000 yard seasons again, because Penny is on a serious decline as evidenced by his poor pre season performance.

That's because... I... typed it. I didn't "say" anything, it was written.

Basically I wrote that due to your reasoning Chris Chambers will have over 1,000 yards this year and is a lock for the Pro Bowl. "A WR is only as good as his QB", were your exact words and I felt that was a careless assertion to make, and I'm trying to draw attention to it.

News Flash! Green is done. Do you really think the Chiefs would have let him go if he was still a viable option to the playoffs? They wanted to go in a different direction and Green wasn't/isn't the answer.

Why don't we let him play some football before we make that assumption. As a Jets fan I'm sure you can understand this, Green had a bad year last year playing under... Herm Edwards. Do I really need to say anymore?

I'm guessing that concussion didn't help much. Or you know, being 37 years old.

Trent Green done? Hardly. The Chiefs wanted to get younger because eventually a team has to do so. Everyone in that organization wanted Brodie Croyle to beat out Damon Huard but he couldn't do it so for now they are stuck with Damon Huard. Trent Green has a few years left in him, KC just wanted to get younger and who could blame them? They know they're not going to the playoffs anytime soon with Larry Johnson and friends with San Diego and Denver in the division.

That being said, Miami is well on their way to another 6-10 season.

Sorry, just had to quote this so you couldn't edit it half way through the season.

Chris Chambers:

- 1,000 yards

- Lock for pro bowl in 2007

Nice.

Pass this memo to the Packers.

Woah, hold the phone BZ, I would never be so careless as to come here and say such things. I was only presenting an argument to DWC.

Chambers is still the #1 target, but 1,000 yards and a Pro Bowl nod seem a long way out.

Lets save those kinds of #'s for Coles and Crotch. ;)

You do not unset a living legend until the successor is ready. Aaron Rodgers obviously must not be liked too much around Packer land. BTW, Brett Favre is still good enough to take a bunch of scrubs and rookies plus Donald Driver, Al Harris and Charles Woodson to 8-8. I like Green Bay to go 9-7 this season.

Just out of curiosity, what are your wifes' feelings about the Dolphins this year? I know she is a knowledgable fan and has good insight.

I'm taking a "cautious optimist" approach. 6-8 wins somewhere in there.

Good luck this year with your Jets. See you in Giants stadium week 3!!
