124
Randy Moss invented the wheel, can cure cancer and also is the best Wide Receiver ever. Yep. Okay. To borrow a quote used in the Brady/Manning thread I posted: "Only if you've been watching football 1997-present" Really? You dont think Randy Moss is in the greatest WR to ever play conversation? And when did you start watching football? Arent you like 21 years old, so wouldnt that quote apply to you? In my lifetime, Jerry Rice and Randy Moss are the best I've ever seen. You know, it's okay to have a difference of opinion without taking it so personally - as Jiffy apparently has. The dude needs a hug. Kleck - hurry up. Klecko73 is just being Klecko73....he loves him some Kleck073 even if no one else does. ...and pardon me, but Klecko is now the authority on what is funny, and proper smiling usage? :hipp::rolleyes: Edited November 13, 2009 by Garb

PFSIKH
JiF, don't you see? The raw numbers, taken out of context favor Welker. Just like Jif did with only using 2007 numbers? Let's use the statistical anamolay to make a point. Idiot. What does this prove? This is going to be the case for any possession receiver. And when its all said and done, Welker has 2 more first downs then Moss, yipee!!! And bringing in the Cassell years is pointless IMO. Thats not the Patriots that people fear and he's obviously going to favor his check down short yard throws to Welker because he's inexperienced and trying not to force the issue. Put Brady in the mix who's experienced and can make those throws to Moss and its clear who's more valualbe and its not your precious Welker. If Moss isnt on your team, who scores TD's? Again, TD's put points on the board and you dont win in the NFL kicking FG's. It prooves you are wrong. You want to use first downs in only one season to make your point, but when the numbers support my argument. They do not count. Those splits cover three seasons. For essentially three different QBs (pre-injured Brady, Cassell, post injured Brady) all passes thrown, shows Wes has been the primary target. It is still the Patriots' Offense. The system Brady says he has been in for all of his career. One, that is based around short passes. Without Moss, Welker is JAG. Moss, or a receiver like him, loosens up the safeties and allows Welker to work underneath. Welker without that kind of big threat to go deep has to play in a much more populated area than he does now. First, Welker is more then JAG. Second, no one disputes Randy's impact. I know I have not. we get it, pat fans know everything, you and garb could write a book for us so we can become smarter fans Well, we could write one about the Patriots. You know the team we are fans of. The ones we watch more of. The one we might have a little more insight on.

You seem to like arousing the masses. I have no idea who Patsfandude is. I beleive that Messagebaords are all about opinions. Seems to me that Wes Welkers value to the Patriots is a hot button topic. There are several posters that do not agree with what you and your buds think is the absolute truth - one very "vocal" dissenter is a fellow Jets fan. If folks can't handle a differing point of view, a little "smack" and lame attempts at humor, well, they should not participate. That's my "opinion" of course. This thread has been alive and kicking for a long time. It gets bantered about several times a month - let alone twice a year. I am not the one that started it, I'm not the one that keeps bumping it, I'm not the main player to keep it alive. Actually, I think that honor goes to Klecko73. I am not familiar with this PatsFanTx person. I assume he is a Pats fan living in Texas? What a noodle brain! Ok...opie.
