Garb
How many titles have the Pats won since Welkah and Moss joined the team? Pretty soon, Jets fans are going to reply to Pats fans when they verbally fellate Welker the same way we respond to Dolphins fans when they verbally fellate Marino: by asking how many championships he's won. Now, I know I will get the typical "WRs don't win championships by themselves" argument but you know I am simply following the rules as laid out by the King of Patsy Trolls himself, Mr. PatsFanTx, who was only so quick to point out to Jets fans that the only thing that mattered was winning championships. Well, using the PatsFanTx Measure of Ultimate Football Success, the Welker years have been an abject failure so far, so deal with it children. Oh, look, Zippy's head is spinning! 124
Welker will be on the field by October, and will be in game mode by November. Will be a very good mid season pick-up for New England. I.E. = If we're going to win this division, we have to strike early in September & October and take a commanding 2 or 3 game lead heading into those final 2 months. Matt39
Having Cromartie helps the Jets tremendously when matching up with Patriots. Cro can match up athletically with Moss, allowing the Jets to switch coverages at times and matching up Revis on Welker in the slot on 3rd downs. GodWearsAGrayHoodie
Wes Welker jumps off the PUP list Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 1, 2010 9:21 AM ET Wes Welker's stay on the physically unable to perform list was a brief one. Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio revealed Sunday morning that Welker passed his physical and will return to the field for the team's morning practice. While the move was expected, it's a significant step for an organization that uses the active/PUP list as carefully as any team. The Patriots usually won't take a player off the list until they are absolutely ready he's "full go" and there's no chance they could need to use the list later. A few months back, many thought Welker would miss the season's first six weeks on the reserve/PUP list. This move makes it appear Welker is on track to return for the team's opener. NFL Network's Mike Lombardi writes he wouldn't expect Welker to play in the preseason until the team's third game.

GodWearsAGrayHoodie
You guys probably don't want to read the entire WW interview from today but this line was great..... Q: Is one ahead of the other? Is your shoulder better than your knee? Is your knee ahead of your shoulder? WW: I wouldn’t say that one is any better than the other. They both have their days. It’s like a girlfriend. They have good days. They have bad days. You wake up and you roll with the punches. http://www.patsfans.com/ian/blog/2010/08/01/complete-wes-welker-qa-81/

Revis is the GOAT
welker's a ****in beast, hate that guy! by the time you get to brady he's already hit welker on a inside slant. repeat 10 times a game and you've got a nightmare on your hands. i hope wilson can press him at the line and keep him in check this season. The key is getting to Brady. Brady, like any other QB(well, Id say a bit more)he hates getting hit. He'll start calling out teamates on the field once he starts taking some shots. Brady's been blessed with the best offensive line in football most of his career- the Jets and Rex need to keep taking advantage of him not having that anymore and knock him around like the first meeting last season. I don't really agree. I think that's the problem with Welker. Many of his plays are such quick hitters that you can't get to Brady anyway. That's one of the reasons that people see Welker as more of a key than Moss.

The Ravens in their regular season meeting(the game where Brady was crying to the official for a flag) did just that and neautralized the quick plays to Welker. That is debatable. He is blessed with a quick release and above average pocket awareness. His OL is good, but outside of a younger Koppen and Mankins. None would likely make a top 5 list for their position. Matt Light? Scar gets more out of his players then any coach in the NFL.
