Wes Welker? Seriously?

Welker SUCKS. It's very easy to get open underneath when you have Randy Moss acctually trying on your team. Thats all he's a product of. You put him aside from any other WR and he goes back to being the JAG he is.

Post of the century

The Pats have a bye this weekend. After 6 games Welker is doing pretty good:

51 receptions, 785 yards and 6 TD's.

For sh*ts and giggles here is Michael Irvin talking about Welker last Friday.

Wow, seriously? I thought he was a scrub that only benefited from having Moss on the team? Boy, was I wrong...

meh.. put him on the jets... would love to see his stats then

Wes Welker's 3rd year in the league, he led the Fish in receptions.with 67, 10.3 YPC. This was while being thrown to by the immortal Joey Harrington, Daunte Culpepper, and Cleo Lemon.

Fun fact: of those three QBs, Lemon had the highest rating for the season, at 77.6, as the only QB on the team with fewer INTs than TDs (2:1).

But who was the Offensive Coordinator?

Mike Mularkey. Much reviled by both Dolphins and Bills fans.

Frankly, if the Jets were stuck with Schotty, Welker is probably the best fit as a WR for the short predictable checkdowns. Everyone knows where he is running most of the time, but still gets open.
