Maxman
Yeah I didn't agree with the OLine grade. That was a big old F in my book. Also Kellen Clemens didn't look good and there was no mention of that.
124
How did Kellen not look good? He threw the ball with accuracy, and on one play eluded about 7 Patriots, even though that led to him throwing it away, it is still better than a Pennington sack. Also, Chad was sacked 4 times. I thought it was only 2. My bad. I guess the OLine should've gotten a D, but no F. Max, make it a D, not a C on the report card if you can. Thanks. aec4
Offensive Line - C This unit gets a C because they were HORRIBLE in run blocking and fairly good at pass protection. Jacob Bender surprisingly was inactive and Adrien Clarke played well, minus run blocking. The Jets could’ve used Bender on first down with their seemingly always 1st and 10 handoffs up the middle to Thomas Jones. I stopped reading after this. Credibility shot. How they do not get a D- or F is beyond me. If you think the pass blocking was fairly good today, I'd like to see what you think is terrible. Also Kellen Clemens didn't look good and there was no mention of that. Anytime u let a WR gain 180 yards... And miss a 3rd down tackle that caused a TD (Welker) I say the secondary should get a D- or even a F

The semester is over. It is what it is. My point about Kellen remains the same. He may be very good some day. NONE of it is going to matter until a bunch of other problems are solved. I said the same thing about Curtis back in the day when guys were blasting him.

Bugg
"Why is David Barrett starting? I just do not understand it. Its not like Justin Miller did much better, but watching David Barrett out there try to play corner is like watching an infielder in baseball try to pitch the 9th inning." Watching him whiff on Welker on that 1st TD made me ill. It was a cut-worthy offense.

I'm not writing his obituary but he didn't do anything remotely impressive today. You giving the OL a C makes it seem you're like trying to make Chad come off even worse. Columbia Jet Fan
My Grades: QB: B+ RB: C- WR: B/B- TE: C- O-Line: D- D-Line: F LBs: D- (I have never said this before and have been one of his biggest supporters/fans but J-Vilma may just not be that great of a player in the 3-4...also Hobson is horrible) Secondary: D+ Special Teams: D+ Coaching: C- (I thought Schott's playcalling was ok at best and the D play calling was just bad)

Maxman
Okay enough -- can we talk about what I wrote? Me, me, me, lol. Things the Jets did not do well today include, but are not limited to: Stopping the run, defending the pass (Revis had a very solid game), putting pressure on the QB, running the football, finishing drives, pass blocking and the kickoff return team had a poor game. If we think of more things that the Jets didn

124
A little too generous with the grades. There should have been multiple F's and there were none. Yeah. When I first wrote it out the DLine had an F and the Linebacker core had a D-. I couldn't be that cruel Week 1.
rick34125
The grade is just the symptom. The reality is our DL needs an overhaul to play this scheme. Vilma probably needs to go as well.

I agree with your grades for the most part except I think the coach deserved a D and the offensive line deserved an F. Running Backs deserve a C-/D. Thomas Jones, big stud acquisition of the off-season. did diddly squat.
