Boozer76
I can not believe I am seeing all these threads on Chad right now. For christ sakes come on people. Chad and Revis were the only 2 acceptable bright spots on our team today. That's it. Everyone else on this team was putrid. PUTRID!!! Hell, I'm not even a big Chad supporter. Never was and I am on record for a long time for feeling that way. But he is our starter, he is a part of our team. Our coaches feel that he is the best option right now, plain and simple. Maybe Kellen is not ready yet, or maybe the coaches just feel more comfortable with Chad's experience. But it is all irrelevant because he is our starter. So for god sakes get over it and support our team, which right now is being driven by Chad. I swear it's like some of you didn't bother to even watch the game. The New York Jets was a bullet ridden carcass today, and Chad was the black eye. Do we put an ice pack on that eye, or do we worry about the other 10 life threatening bullet holes known as our OL, DL, LB's, and secondary!!!?? WTF is wrong with you guys today!!!! And to the crowd reaction to Chad's injury, that was one of the most shameful things I have seen as a fan. Yes, we once set the stadium on fire, yes occasionally fans throw snowballs at the players. But this was a complete and utter disrespect for a guy on our team, regardless of how good or bad you think he is. Only a total POS would want to see Clemens in via a Chad injury, and seemingly there were alo of you out there today. And do not give me this load of crap they were cheering for Chad getting up, or cheering for Clemens when he came in. They were flat out cheering that Pennington was hurt so Kellen could come in, while the guy was hobbling for dear life to get off the field. Pathetic. The coaching stunk today, the players stunk today, and the fans really f*cking stunk today. And this Chad debate only helps to perpetuate the foul stench after what REALLY happened on that field today.
PhinHater
I read the first line and stopped. chad was 16/21 for 167 yards and 2 TDs. I dont understand. Chad was fine. Our defense, which I think will improve, lost us the game. We lost momentum after the kickoff return. We played New England with Randy Moss in week 1. Enough said. bitonti
boozer do you watch the game? Kellen Clemens sucked ass out there. Just like he sucked in Jacksonville. Chad isn't great but guess what he's better than the alternative. Mangini starts the best players who give the team a chance to win. Clemens looked scared out there. Say what you want about Chad, he's not scared.

Boozer76
WTF did you guys read? Serously, it's like they're reading the post with a chinese translator. Maybe it's like n old vinyl record that if you play it backwards it spews demonic messages. docdhc
I was at the game and the crowd was mostly silent when Chad got hurt and then cheered when he was able to limp off. I know I was cheering his effort, not his injury. We also cheered when Clemens came in as a show of support. This was not shameful, disrespectful, or anything of the sort. Maybe a few drunks were cheering because he was hurt but I didn't sense the crowd overall was doing it. Chad played well and deserved credit. This hoopla about the crowd is just media hype and appeals to a national audience about how obnoxious east coast fans are, especially NY and Philly, but it just wasnt' true today. That's because the media is probably Chad's biggest detractor, so they automatically assume the Jets fans must be the same. To me it's unfair to label the crowd that way, I think most Jets fans support Chad.

Funny thing is I didn't hear cheering when Chad came back on the field for the next series. You would think that the fans that were supporting Chad would have responded with cheers when he returned to the field. I didn't hear it.

And this Chad debate only helps to perpetuate the foul stench after what REALLY happened on that field today. Maybe some of them were, who knows? I say they were happier to see Clemens come in than Chad hobbling off the Field under his own power. People who listen to what Phil Simms says as an afterthought to have something to chat about with his partner. His partner by the way didn't see it the way Simms did until Simms explained. Now everyone is buying into it. Don't tell me that back up players aren't sitting on the bench hoping something happens that gives them a chance to play. Decent people push those thoughts from their minds, but they are there lurking in the id. To say that some Fans weren't happy to have Chad out of the game would be disingenuous. To say that they were cheering because he was hurt is also disingenuous. As it turned out, Clemens didn't fair any better than Chad, because our Oline disintegrated. And we do not know if Clemens will ever fair better than Chad. Chad moves the chains and he's brought us to the playoffs. Clemens is an unproven commodity. I think Mangini wanted to win, but he wasn't treating this game as a playoff game. He was still evaluating. During the week there will definitely be some changes made. Next years draft we should have more picks and hopefully they will be picks that will work out for us. We must keep in mind that this is only the second year of a young first time Head Coach and our players have not been working together very long. Things will get better. I know it's difficult, but we have to be patient. -- Go Jets -- At the Meadowlands, the Green and White Rule. They just were invaded and lost a battle to a superior team today. Next week looks like it's probably a shot in the dark also, but a shot is a shot is a shot! I love the Jets and I'll never give up on them. Never!!! -- Go Jets --
