I disagree. I know that I am pretty angry about the fact that Tangini has not addressed any of the major areas via draft or free agency. Our OL is Horrible With "Da Brick aBust" and we have one the smaller defensive lines in the league. You don't fix this team in one season, but come on.....I am sure that a Big DL and a couple of good offensive line men were available somewhere. I expected more from them. bitonti
i was thnking the same thing, it would have been an absolute Herm-fest if he was still the coach the sad truth is (and Herm knows this) that the NFL is a league of players making plays. You can be a great coach, you can put guys in positions to make plays but it comes down to the Larry Johnson types, the Tom BRadys and the Payton Mannings who will win and lose. It's not about who replaces Pete Kendall or whether Rodney Harrison will play. It's about great, hall of fame caliber players and what they do on the field. That's the difference between these teams, it's the players not the coaches.

Only areas on offense and defense where I can say this team is talented are secondary and wr's. Everything is else is average.

And when you don't have any of those types of players, that's what separates good coaches from bad coaches...the ability to win with what you have. Everything is else is average. it's true and even those guys are good but not HOF good. oh and let me just add, Bill Bellichek was a failed HC with the Browns, on his way to being out of a job with the Pats until Brady got in the game. Now he's got 3 rings, an excellent chance at a 4th and no real plans to leave New England. Everyone think's he's a genius or even better that Dungy is a great coach. Take Brady and Manning off those teams, you'd have people calling for both of their heads.

Let's get it straight they aren't terrible they just aren't a super bowl contender. Top 10 but not Top 3.

Okay, I can see your point about not winning the SB with the group we have...would Belly have three rings in his pocket without Brady? Ask the old Browns fans if he could. Bugg
Herm is the reason the team is like this right now. Look, I hate Edwards, and think the world of Tannebaum and Mangini. But I don't buy it. It's aprt on the Braday/Edwards Error, but not all. We have a lot of cap room. The Kendall move(I understnad he wasn't a superstar and you don't like renegotiating) looks bad. Many of us thought Roberstson(again,2 top picks for 1 guy) was gonna he a playmekts, and that the Doug Jolley/Nugent mess would be a good deal. Those deals for some reason have never worked for this franchise, like Lam Jones for 2 picks to the Niners. Revis had better be the real deal because giving up 2 1st rounders for 1 player with this many holes doesn't make sense otherwise. And one more thing that we all fall into-we overvalue the talent here. VIlma doesn't make big plays. Ellis doesn't make big plays. Robertson doesn't make big plays.Nobody game plans around these guys or stays up all week before playing the Jets. All fine and good to brag about how it might be different in the 4-3, but I don't see it. They aren't big-time players, period. Kinda thisnk thios isn't a rebuilidng

Kinda thisnk thios isn't a rebuilidng I agree, and I think the whole thing needs to be blown up personel wise. I also do not believe Tannenbaum should have been made GM at this point. He doesn't have the qualifications. Jets should have gone with a two man GM or gotten a reputible person in here to run the show. But with Woody being so cheap that isn't going to happen. But this is the mess Herm/Bradway left the team in - like it or not. There isn't a lot of talent here like you said and the little talent there was here was never coached correctly.
