DefenseWinsChampionships
For the next week or two. We need to beat the Ravens to get back to .500, and if the Chargers can take it to the Patriots we are in pretty good shape. I've always been a fan of Chad Pennington... But untill he's 100% healthy it's time for me to be a fan of Kellen Clemens. It's gonna be a tough game for KC playing vs a Ravens Defense... But if he can just move the chains without making any mistakes I like our chances. Lets see what you have KC... Please... And I mean PLEASE... Help this Jets team get back to .

penningtonfan82
In case you didn't notice, the Jets do not have a solid defense. Right so what is Kellen going to do with no defense, the scores are going to rack up the same against both QB's and the offensive line sucks. It doesn't really make a difference who is back there with the way the lines are playing. I'll root for Kellen, he is part of this team, I just hope he doesn't get injured too. Kentucky Jet
You're already making excuses for him? as you have made for CHAD! What goes around, comes around! IMo it is more important to be a JETS fan and not a hero worshipper. It is a TEAM sport and TEAMS win Super Bowls. Heck Hostettler , a backup, won one for the GIANTS. So rather then support our backup, guys are hoping he does not meet their standards. Is that any way to run an airline? Lets all support whoever our QB is and lets hope we can win a SB in the next few years. Who cares which QB is at the helm as long a swe win a SB? If CHADS gets traded next year to KC I wonder how many of the CHADANISTAS will become CHIEFS fans. lol
124
You're already making excuses for him? How is this an excuse? I was saying yesterday that Chad was not a Top 3 reason of yesterdays loss and that Defense was the #1 blame. Its his first start in the NFL against one of the best, if not the best defense, in the NFL. The only way to beat Baltimore is to THROW THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD, something Chad cannot do and Kellen can. Kellen will make throws Chad cannot if Mangini, Schott & Co. do not handcuff him. However, I fear they will and you will be on this board pumping your Chad Pennington loving chest. What a shame. Solid job once again by you. There are always excuses for Chad from you and other Chad lovers, there is no difference here.
DefenseWinsChampionships
In case you didn't notice, the Jets do not have a solid defense. No ****... WHy do you think we lost the game yesterday? Because of the Defense... Chad did everything he could do to win the game for the Jets. Chad played GREAT with the O-Line we had... He made no mistakes, no turnovers, he did everything he could do to help this Jets offesne... It was the Defense that blew the game. KC would have done no better than Chad yesterday with our D. Lets just hope our D can shut down the Ravens offense, and lets just hope KC dont make any rookie mistakes.

The only way to beat Baltimore is to throw the ball deep? lol, are you crazy? Bro... It's just not that easy... Throw the ball deep and have C.McCalister, S.Rolle and E.Reed all ball hawking.... A strong arm is not enough to beat this Defense... THe QB needs to have alot of smarts and patience.

He has been entirely ineffective in his tenure in Baltimore and if there is one downside to Chris McAlister's game it is his coverage deep. Watching the game tonight? You should be. The way to beat Baltimore is to throw, throw, throw and throw it deep. Dink & Dunk does not work. The Jets havn't beaten the Ravens with a handcuffed offense yet. Remember the Dink&Dunk of Bollinger in 2005 in Baltimore? That was fun.
JetCane
Sorry, but I dont make excuses for Chad. penningtonfan82
I still feel Chad is the better QB and I will wait to see different. I know there is a reason why Kellen hasn't started yet or they wouldn't have named Chad the 2007 starter, he would have had to, once again, fight for his job. With all that said, if Chad does indeed sit this one out, and we all know Chad likes to play even when hurt so theres a small chance he could by Sunday, I will judge for myself, not from the Kellenists, based on how KC plays, how I feel about him. Everyone running Chad out of here is just wrong...especially with what he has done for this team.

And again I will state JC that I was not cheering Chad's injury, I was cheering for Kellen. I do not wish injury upon any player, especially Chad who has battled so much. I have never said I wanted Chad to lose his job to a injury. And if all those guys cheering yesterday were Kellen fans, well, I guess you are now in the minority (Chad fans) because the cheers were pretty loud yesterday in that stadium. The fact they did not respect his arm and dared him to beat them, allowed them to stop our run game. But that game is over and done! I am hoping CHAD can play against Baltimore. If he can't I support Kellen which you allegedly do too. This is a TEAM sport! Teams win games and SUPER BOWLS!

That's exactly why the jets fans who were there are being deservedly maligned by the media. You think everyone who heard what happened was born yesterday? Fans pay good money to act like idiots, and they exercised that right yesterday in droves. Maybe you could have posted your article that Chad was out in bigger print? i think you're a little too happy about him being injured, whether you deny it on this board or not. penningtonfan82
Everyone whos saying all this **** about a team game is a hypocrite! At this point if Kellen has to play I am happy with that, I haven't seen what he can do yet in a real game. I will get my chance. However, you can't preach **** about team sports when your throwing your QB out the damn door after he's lead this team to the playoffs! It's the same ****, if Kellen is the QB or CHAD, SUPPORT that person no matter what, then preach all you want too.

I support Chad who is our starting QB a little way to much to actually cheer for a backup when our player is fighting for his life to get off the field... I could never cheer for any player when our starter just went down.

I will be a hot mess on this board all week long. Or you could try showing some class? Seriously, coming on here if Kellen plays bad and rubbing it in is counter-productive. You should be cheering whoever is behind center, and not looking forward to them playing poorly so you can come here and gloat. Show a little class. You must throw the Football 15-25 yards down the field because that is where they can be beat. That being said, the Offensive Line has to give the Quarterback enough time to do so so the line needs to find a quick way to improve for this Sunday. BUM-KNEE
Hopefully Clemens comes out throwing accurate, and isnt overwhelmed by Baltimores pressure. Im sure he will look a little out of sorts at times, but if hes accurate enough he will move the chains. Hit Coles on a fly pattern once or twice, make the Ravens respect the deep ball and not rattling Clemens. If Jones or Leon gets any amount of space to run, that would help out immensely. This may be alot to ask of Clemens, but hes going to have to make fast reads and get rid of it quick in his baptism by fire. Hes got good scrambling ability, so there could be some planned runs by him. (as opposed to running for his life) That could be a bad idea but we'll find out sunday. Of course the outcome of the game and Clemen's health will depend on the O-line, so Im not getting a woody over this game to say the least.
