NY JETS 29
I found this on another Jets site, I dont know how true it is but i figured I would share it; Pennington in good spirts, but sore. By Dan Leberfeld Posted Sep 11, 2007 QB Chad Pennington was found walking around Hofstra with a boot on his ankle this morning. I caught a media member who Chad is usually very honest and loyal to ask him while walking into the trainers room "how bad is it Chad"? he responded with a wink and a nod of approval. Sources tell me it's a high sprain to the ankle that should sideline him Sunday, but look for him to be back with his team when the Jets return home to take on divison rival Miami. DefenseWinsChampionships
Cimini led me to believe it was broken. Gross jumped on the same bandwagon. Damn you bloggers. Damn you!!! lol. Forget the reports max, and what they actually say... If Pennington is actually walking without crutches, that speaks volumes itself. I remembed when I broke my wrist playing Basketball, I had to get surgery... Put it this way, I may have never broke my ankle but if you break your wrist, you cant even put an ounce of pressure on your wrist without almost screaming like a female... And I'm pretty sure an ankle injury hurts just as much. If Pennington is even putting ANY KIND OF PRESSURE on his hurt ankle, that means alot in terms of recovery time. DefenseWinsChampionships
He will play on Sunday. I hope he does just as much as you do Ecurb... But I feel Chad should just sit this game out this way he dont break his ankle really bad you know? Plus... I would never root for Kellen to have a bad game... I'm just so sick and tired of Kellen fans talking down on Chad 24/7, and if Kellen has a horrible game, they will always and 4ever keep thier mouth shut when it comes to Chad Pennington can not beat a top ten Defense... Maybe it's just that we never had a top ten team??? All these Kellen fans that has supported this kid before he's played one down in the NFL better hope that KC puts up... Or just shut up. And I dont care what any fans say... When Chad Pennington went down... I was feeling a little 2 down to cheer for a damn backup QB when our starting QB had to fight for his life just to hobble off the field... And howcome when Chad came back and put together a perfect drive for a TD... He did not get the same reaction as KC? Makes me sick.
DefenseWinsChampionships
Thanks Dr. DWC for your medical prognosis Medical prognosis? Im just letting everyone know... NY JETS 29
we dont know anything, whether we hurt are ankles or wrists or not. we didnt have NFL medical staffs working on us. the media knows nothing, we know nothing. the only people who know if chads ok or not is himself and the jets staff. end of discussion. Not to disappoint you but if Clemens has a horrible game against the Ravens it won't stop the Kellen fans from wanting him in. Its unrealistic to expect a young QB with little experience to come in and play well against a great defense. I hold that belief too. As long as he comes in and shows flashes and doesn't make to many stupid mistakes I'll be encouraged.
124
If its a sprained ankle I highly doubt he misses only one game. I guess though it would depend on the severity of the sprain.

I dont think he will miss any game... he led the JETS to a TD on it Sunday against a cheating Pats D... he also played with a torn rotor cuff in his career so pain isnt an issue... I will never challenge Chad's strength and determination. If he plays, I for one will cheer for him louder than I have in a few seasons because that would be something to come out behind this Offensive Line with a sprained ankle for more than a series. I dont think Clemens is ready yet and fear a Bollinger style offense against the Ravens if he plays... the bright side is that his arm looks strong... now he just needs to relax

For the record, I badly broke my ankle jello wrestling back in high school. I walked out of the ring and walked out of the gym. I now have a steal plate, four screws, and a pin in there. note: The jello wrestling was a high school fund raiser.
penningtonfan82
I kinda, in my mind, want Chad to sit just sunday, I don't think he's broken, come on, I guess we STILL have yet to find out, but chances are, he wouldn't have winked n nodded if he wasn't gonna be fine for the Miami game. Atleast that is my opinion. While no one wants to miss anygames, one game is better then the season, and I think he should rest for that one game. (But in my heart, I really would love to see him play).

penningtonfan82
I know that takes a while to head, so I am going to guess Kellen is gonna play this week, but I can't see the Chad man sitting out longer then that, he'll probably try and play thru it.
