joiseyjet
The next million dollar question is ...........What if there was another Video guy video taping our offensive signals ( Belicheck was low enough to steal defensive signals no reason to believe he wouldn`t try the other side also) & what if the JETS & NFL just didn`t catch him & what if because of that advantage they were able to allow there defense to get a jump on CHAD which may have led to his injury directly, this injury may cost the jets their season if CHAD miss` multiple games ,maybe 1 first round pick isn`t enough ..... Well, in a few of the articles it was mentioned that there were more than a few irregularities regarding the communication systems (headsets, etc) during the game as well. Since offensive plays and general strategic communication goes through such headsets, I'm sure they would have had that jump...

Theres no such thing as offensive signals. THe coordinators speak to the QB through radios. THe radio frequencies are worth looking into on that front though. lawngnome o-line
and we have to prolly sacrifice our 2nd game of the season because our starter is out-as a direct result TO the cheating Only problem is Chad getting hurt isn't because of cheating (to the knowledge of people not in the NFL Office). The Pats were stealing defensive calls, so it had no bearings on D'brick being a revolving door when it comes to pass rushers. I say though, the win can't be given to the Jets but I think they should have to sacrifice at least their 1st rder (Would it just get thrown out, or go to the Jets?) and maybe even the 2nd rder. Also, a suspension of 2-4 weeks from Patriots facilities and games for Belly.

I would make them give up their 1st rounder to the JETS .since they`ll come close to winning the whole thing again anyway it will be more like a second rounder anyway.(2) Transfer $10,000,000 in Cap space from the Pats. cap to the JETS Cap. & (3 ) The Pats get the choice of either forfiting that game back to the JETS or allowing the JETS to take 1 player off their roster (The NFL would allow them to protect 10 players on their team that couldn`t be taken....Any 1 of the rest are fair game... This would get the point across and i`m sure no team would ever risk it again..

flgreen
WOW I'm real surprised how the rest of the country reacted. I kind of thought everyone would go Ho Hum......... If you take NE out of the equation, the rest of the country section by section wants the Pats to either forfeit the game, around 46-50%. another 25% or so thing they should give up a first rounder, or both. Those are some very strong sanctions Gooddell is not an idiot. I think most of these people are calling for the butt kicking because they just saw the NFL kick a couple of players butts. Will they kick one of their own? A very powerful owner, and what seemed to a first ballot HC. People have seen a lot in sports this year. A ref fixing games, the dog fighting bonanza for the press, now a "dynasty" caught cheating. This should be fun to watch.

SpacemanSpiff_NF
I just mentioned this on the other thread, but I'll mention it again.... I think someone already mentioned this but it stuck in my head as a very good reason why they won't/can't just forfeit the game over the the Jets. Most likely there's gonna be a tight AFC wild card race, and if the Jets get one of the spots there would be a huge uproar from the teams that didn't. They would see us getting a win (or tie) as a penalty for them. If the league did forfeit the game the only way to do it would be to issue both teams losses. I personally believe that they won't do that.

Yes the JETS deserve their pick I'm sorry but its dumb and just blind favoritism to think the Jets deserve the picks if the Pats get rid of them. Theres no reason we deserve it over every other team. As somebody said before when a criminal is brought to trial he doesn't go against the victim, he goes against the state. It's the same principal here. SpacemanSpiff_NF
But by giving us the picks other teams see that as hurting them. If you're just looking at the Pats and Jets, yes they should give us their picks (or the game). But when you look at the whole league, neither option is viable. (fine and suspend anyone involved, and dock some of their draft picks. It sucks for the Jets, but at least we were the ones to catch them in the act redhanded. If we didn't this season would be an even bigger nightmare, and December 16th would be even more painful.
