afosomf
It is so clear to me now how Mumbles went from a miserable HC in Cleveland to a 2 time SB winning coach. He F'n Cheated What should be done? If Goodell had giant size gahones he would issue a forfeit, but with all the betting on the game... it will not happen 1) Pukes lose 1st 3 picks in draft. 2) Mumbles is suspended for 6 games 3) An Asterisk is placed on all Puke Championships 4) Mumbles will never see the entrance to HOF, cept on his nickel. 5) Kraft is fined $30M This is a serious issue. Imagine having to resort to this means to win, he had to resort to these tactics at GreenBay, who BTW sucked last year and he had the arrogance to bring same guy into meadowlands. I have no respect for this team, they all deserve crap, Cindy is nothing without these awful tactics. The whole team should be kicked out of NFL

Bugg
Maybe you should talk to the UCONN coach, he said it is a common practice in the NFL. Nice spin though assmop. It may have been. But when Goodell puts out a memo telling everyone to stop it effective immediately, you're facing a serious problem if you do it.

shawn306
Who knows how long he has been doing this. Belicheat may have affected teams making the playoffs, draft position, he may have cost a few coaches there jobs. In other words. Everything that Belicheat has done during his tenure in New England is now suspect. The Super Bowls The winning streak Everything. You DO NOT under any circumstance mess with the integrity of the game. Otherwise the NFL becomes the WWE.

Anyone caught cheating needs to be punished severely. This is so much worse than a supplements issue and that gets a 4 game suspension.
afosomf
Mumbles Legacy is kaput... will go down as one of the biggest Cheaters in the game. His run to Canton is over!!!! I Believe There is more to come as well, Kraft may hire a hit on this dude cause he will be spilling his guts out.

It is a pandora's box the commish does not want to open. When opinions from former NFL players/coaches stating of doing the same thing and/or saying it is ok to steal signals as long as you are not video taping them makes everything seem suspect. PFSIKH, I can't believe you're trying to defend this stuff like it's common practice. Give me another team who does this...this isn't the first time the Pats have been accused of "cheating"...I can take a loss as good as the best of them, but when you're cheating to get an edge, there is no excuse for it. I am so livid about this that I can't imagine any fan trying to spin this other than what it is...I am surprised at you in particular PFSIKH because you're ususally one of the Pat fans that doesn't come on here just to bust chops. Nothing you say is going to change that. Maybe other teams cheated, they should be punished too, but just because they weren't caught doesn't mean the team that was shouldn't be punished, and heavily. The whole team should be kicked out of NFL Nice thoughts, but BB had already won the big game twice. His D is the reason the Giants won two Super Bowls. Are you going to asterisk the Giants Super BoOf course coaching D is easy with (the real) LT, but I digress. IMO, BB was already a HOF DC, but was questionable with the O and leadership. Lucking into a HOF qb in the 6th round took care of both of those problems. This is why I look at him as questionable HC without Brady. I believe that Brady put him over the hump as a head man and with the offense and he will have repeated success with other qbs and teams if he wishes, but if Brady never came along I'm not so sure he'd be such hot crap. This cheating is bad and should be dealt with, but I think we are blowing it out of proportion and even if the rest of the board isn't your above list of prospective punishments is way out of the realm of reason and possibility. NS what am I to say? They are guilty and will be punished. All I am repeating is what I have heard on the radio and TV since Patriots' Gate has broken. Mike Golic was saying you try to steal signals and exploit them. Zach Thomas talked about a Patriots game film last year that tipped their D to certain plays. The UCONN HC (Edsal?) a former NFL assistant coach said this is a common practice. I am not making this up. The Patriots will get punished and I am disappointed, but this is not life and death. The outrage and calls for marches on the NFL offices by Jets' fans is an f'ing joke. Well then, it sucks for your team that they were caught and will be made the example. V, they obviously will. Yeah, and in the past few weeks the pats have been caught cheating multiple ways. Face it, they cheated. Nothing you say is going to change that. Maybe other teams cheated, they should be punished too, but just because they weren't caught doesn't mean the team that was shouldn't be punished, and heavily. As I said before, if you think the Patriots are the only one doing this and that Rodney is the only player taking illegal substances you are more of a fool than I. Go look at Thomas Jones in a sleevless shirt and tell me that is all-natural.

SouthernJet
my take,, first, it goes against everything competitive,,takes away the 'on any given sunday' mentality from most games.. also,, chad got hurt,, may be if Pats didnt have our defensive calls, they wouldnt have had a big lead and the Jets wouldnt have had to pass so much and the Pats wouldnt have been able to tee off on pass rush.. cheating is like dominoes,,it effects so mant aspects of game.. IMHO, thje Pats legacy is crap now,,are they a great team,,NO,, are they a good team, sure,, Oh, by the way,, try saying we didnt cheat Pats,, did you see the Pix of the Patriots guy videotaping on Jets sidelines,, he had on Jets green shirt and Brown shorts,, just like all other Jet staff,,hahaha would be interested to find out what he was wearing in GB,,they even had the CHEATER dress up in other teams colors,,UN-FREAKIN REAL.... Who knows, no one will ever know how it affected the outcome of the game or how often it was done. That is the biggest problem imo. I'd think that a lifetime .250 minor league hitter would do a lot better if when he came up to the majors he knew when the pitcher was going to throw a curve, a change-up or a fastball, because a camera in center field relayed the signs to him. I'd give him credit for being able to hit a curve ball in the first place, but the rest would be tarnished by cheating.
