Sperm Edwards
I haven't read anyone here suggesting that arm strength alone makes someone a better QB than another QB. But having a weak arm is a distinct disadvantage. Particularly for someone who can't buy time with his feet. Agree on your other points with Sandra Moss & Beliscumbag. Welcome to the site, Coles. serphnx
All the top QBs have stronger arms than Chad though, and all the worst QBs seem to have about the same arm strength. That seems to definitely paint a distinct picture.

#27TheDominator
I'll join the welcome, but why all the hate for Santana? I give Coles a slight edge with this offense, but there is no reason we shouldn't have both. If we had Coles, Cotchery & Santana I'd be pretty happy, but they screwed that up giving Coles the lower tender. I dispute the Moss only goes deep claim: He did plenty of damage on short outs, slants and screens and was a lot more likely to take one of Pennington's 3 yarders the distance than anyone we have now. Not to mention how much better he was at punt returning than Tim Dwight, Justin Miller and whoever else we had been trotting out there.

Far from it. But he did have speed that had to be respected and gave us the ability to stretch the defense that we don't have right now. Any defense that plays us can roll up the entire defense with 7 yards of the LOS. Makes it difficult to block on running plays. OK, I know I shouldn't use 'us'. but after 45+ years of Jets/Titans fandom, I feel somewhat entitled.

Wasn't he the guy who would run out of bounds after he caught the ball, or was it someone else. I know someone used to do that.
