Bugg
"It all begins with the satellite parking lots, where fans were made to park. You see, unless you are a season ticket holder, there is no parking near the stadium. So people are made to park in off-site lots, while Xanadu ****s the **** out of the concrete stricken earth, eventually giving birth to a capitalists wet dream in the form of a mall – or something of the sort." I understand EVERYONE is in it to make a buck. Based on the drawings of the new stadium, it will be geared so that you won't tailgate, but rather drop big bucks at an "entertainment complex" So we're all going to squeeze into a giant ugly a$$ Applebee's and get hit over the head with the cash register. I understand for a legion of reasons, most out of Johnson's control, NYC wasn't ever going to happen. I'd also note-Giants Satadium is still a decent place to see a game. The concourses get really crowded at halftime. But other than that, it's servicable. When is enough enough? How much blood can you squeeze from a stone? How many malls, even with indoor ski slopes(that ugly ass thing rising over what used to be the arena parking lot), does this world and New Jersey need? I wouldn't defend the folks who cheered Chad's injury, and they were few.The nonsense you had to deal with Sunday was bad. And it could've beena release of frustration. It's still wrong, understanding is not ana excuse. Everyone's now sees that going to a game, as much fun as it can be, is becoming more of an ordeal. And it was bad Sunday. There are a lot of people who love this team and go to games with their friends and kids who are asking themselves what the maximum PSL they would pay before they decide sitting on your couch is a better option. And I have to say I'm one of them.
Maxman
Good thoughts all around. I have already told my son that we might not be season ticket holders in the new stadium. I am not shelling out 5 grand per seat to go.

Scott Dierking
Going to any sporting event, in any stadium or city is truly a slice of Americana. Max, we will miss you at the games. Hope it isn't so.

I am not shelling out 5 grand per seat to go. Everyone has their limit. I am sure mine is around that number, but we shall see. I love going to the games and it is something that I will fight to keep doing, that being said if it gets too much I will have to give up that right. The Fans boo/cheering Chad is more media hype than reality. It was deadly quiet in the stadium, some were cheering when he got up, some when he went down, some when Kellen came on the field. It is a good story, but nothing more. A few drunk idiots does make a fan base. BZ

Child abuse is you going up to my kid at a tailgate and saying hey I am your Uncle Craig. Good thing you got there late, we were already heading into the stadium. Pervert. JETSFAN5180
Ive been tailgating since I was 12 when my dad took me to a Jets game in Baltimore. The people you meet and the food you experience can never be replaced by corportate America. The parking situation is a mess.I have a pass. But I feel for the people who dont being bussed into the stadium like prisoners in a concentration camp the ride back must be worse. Ive been told the current parking will be the parking of the future...limited space and confined.Gone is the area along the curb in most lots.I brought my tent on Sunday could not set it up.I didnt bring my tow behind grill and dont think I ever will again. They set up food tents in the ESPN zone area another preview of whats to come. As a season ticket holder who shelled out $2950.00 this year.Im $590.00 on the hole from the preseason. Add a $5000.00 per ticket PSL onto that in the future.I dont think I can or will do it. Ive been a Jets fan all my life.I will continue to be a Jets fan.I will scalp or buy premium seats for a few games and may even do an away game. But giving in to corporate Meadowlands I wont..............they can take my tickets and shove them where the sun wont shine.
