Maxman
If this weeks game goes as the media is predicting, Chad won't want the job back. Kellen you go back out there. I am going to sit here with this clipboard.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if a totally pissed off ray lewis jumped over the oline and took his one good arm and jammed it up clemen's @ss and pulled his heart out and ate it. They are gonna be pissed after last week. Of course I am hoping Clemens goes in there and lights them up, but boy this has the possibility of being ugly. Maxman
Excellent point Max. Quick question for you....How do you feel about "Brick"? I have big concerns that he will never live up to being selected 4th overall. Eventually I think he will be a really good left tackle. Other than that I think he is a nice guy. Right now though I definitely wouldn't like my chances if he was the only thing in between me and someone who was after me.
MasonJet
I hope Clemens does great, it'd be awesome to have a young QB to depend on for years. That said, bringing in Leftwich is something the Jets FO should think about. I mean if you want somebody with a strong arm, he certainly fits. lawngnome o-line
Despite anyone's opinions on how Chad played last week, there is little doubt that he did not play his way OUT of a starting role. I don't doubt that if KC does well that they might have a quicker trigger to put Clemens into that starting role if Chad fails, but there is no reason why Chad shouldn't be able to step back in and lead this team. If Kellen does well, he will duke it out in camp- for real- next year. If he wins- fine. If not- fine. The only thing that counts is that we win a SUPER BOWL. I do not care which QB leads us to it. Just get it done!

Kentucky Jet
Nobody ever follows that rule. If you get injured and someone out performs you, you lose your job. It is an unwritten rule and as far as I can tell, it is adhered to. There are exceptions but the majority of the time, it is followed. If Clemens really outperforms CHAD, IMO, Chad will be given his job back. In camp next year, there will be a battle for the job.

The Troll
If Clemens beats the Ravens and plays well, he should keep the job. Chad would never in a million years get the job done against that defense. If Clemens wins, it shows he is the best possible option.

More challenging of the defense downfield is what was required for this opponent. Chad was unable to do that. What good were those 5-yard passes when we were trying to make up a 3 touchdown deficit in the 2nd half? QB rating isn't exactly the batting average of significant statistics. It is a stat that favors safe dumpoffs over quick-striking & going for the jugular. How a stat like that, in the absence of challenging a defense downfield, is useful when you're down 3 TD's is beyond me.
Jet27
If KC comes in on Sunday and plays well and the Jets benefit from his play and the Jets win (against the Ravens), how in god's name can you go back to Penny? That does not make any sense! If KC comes in plays well but the Jets lose, ok Penny still has his job. This makes sense. If KC does not play well (and I hope for our sake he doesn't) and then Penny comes back and doesn't play well, we are F'd.....
KSJets
If Kellen's lighting it up and is on a roll like Huard was last year, even as a Chad fan, I say let Kellen stay in. Stick with the hot hand. If Kellen goes on a roll where he throws 11 tds and 1 int, no way I would put Chad back in at that point. Herm would though
