nyjetsjetsjets
What sport don't they cheat at? Whether your head was buried in the sand, most of the professional sports leagues are billion dollar businesses, save the NHL. Owners, GMs, Coaches and Players earn millions of dollars and their lively hood depends on it. Yes, we all could easily live on a year of Tom Brady's salary for the rest of our lives. However, as moronic as Patrick Ewing sounded during the NBA Strike it is kind of true. "We make alot of money so we spend alot money." THink an owner, GM, coach or player wants to one day be knocked down to our level? Hell no. The stuff you see in sports is the same shady $hit you see in the regular business world. Only happens in a different environment with millions watching. I don't watch any of those other "sports" either. The only one i pay attention to in the slightest is the nhl, and i might have watched a total of 10 games all last season. The NFL was the last professional sports league I gave up on. I still love sports and will continue to play them for fun, but I cannot continue to watch bull**** "sports" like this.
124
What more did you expect? The NFL maximum for a fine to a player / coach is $500,000 and the Patriots will be losing their 1st round pick, it just happens to be on a year where they have two of them. Heck, if they don't make it they lose a 2nd or 3rd. This is a much better situation than what was impossed by all the "experts" this entire week. The only thing I would've liked to see would have been a larger fine to the organization and Belichick suspended for a game. A forefit was obviously not in the mix. bitonti
penalties are almost irrelivant - if they stop the Pats from cheating in the future it gives all of us hope. as for suspension - it's impossible to enforce, it would have been an empty gesture. belly can get the game plans to his assistants any number of ways, and it guaruntees nothing as far as the Pats losing. i think the NFL punishment was fair, harsh and remember it's a first offense, if they get caught again it will be worse.
