Belichick Fined; Pats Lose Pick

Bill Belichick was hit with a $500,000 fine Thursday night -- the maximum allowable by NFL by-laws -- for violating the league's policy on videotaping the Jets defensive signs Sunday. In addition, Roger Goodell notified the Patriots that they would forfeit a 2008 first-round draft choice if they reach the playoffs, or second- and third-round picks if they do not qualify for the playoffs. The club was also fined $250,000.

Slap on the ****ing wrist

Jets get hosed again

Maybe you should have been listening to all the Coaches and Players that say this is a common practice.

It was probably more for his blatant flaunting of the rules.

If this is the case all NFL fans should be calling the league office and make sure they know this isn't an acceptable punishment. There is no way Bellichik should not be suspended for blatantly violating rules for competitive advantages. Again Cowboys QB coach Wade Wilson got suspended 5 games for having HGH for medical issues, he wasn't gaining any advantage from it.

Start a petition if you want.

I could give two craps.

you really are an arrogant bastard. You see any other pats fan over here acting classless like you? I'd start a petition but I'm way to lazy for that. I'll just have you join Garb on my ignore list.

It was a FIVE game suspension, if BB gets any less than that its bull****.

For what?

Something everyone does, but only he was dumb enough to get caught?

They have an HGH test now. Do not see people running to take a test do you?

They both broke rules, Bellichiks gave him a clear competitive advantage, how does he not deserve at least the same suspensions as that of another coach.

So... YEa the Patriots will be fined 750,000 dollars.... Whats that? NOTHING in terms of the NFL... NOTHING AT ALL. And wow... They lose a 1st round draft pick... Big deal.

So I guess BB can just cheat and then pay a fine for a win... Nice, real nice.

If the NFL really wanted to send a message to the leauge they would have suspended BB for 4 games, gave the Jets the W and TOOK the draft pick away in the first round... Big deal, they still have like 1 or 2 first round picks in the first round... Big deal.

Its just B.S in my eyes.

To all the Red Sox/Pat fans who say that the Yankees "Buy" WS rings... Well guess what? Atleast we dont "Cheat" to win games and SB's.

I guess there was a reason why T.Dungy made sure that there be no cameras on the field when they played last year in the playoffs.

Thanks Roger Goodell.... Thanks for nothing

Would it be two craps or would you CHEAT and cut one in half?

Why would anyone be cutting their craps in half? But, if you find that cheating, I guess I play by the rules.

Also, this is BS. Beledick should be suspended for 4 or 8 games, and the 1st round pick should be given up no matter if they make the playoffs or not. Goodell comes down hard on the players, but with coaches they get this? I don't see how that can be justified.
