The Troll
I really got screwed by the Brandon Jacobs injury. Thomas Jones is my primary backup, but I'm not going to use him against Baltimore with the way our offensive line played in week one. Options DeAngelo Williams (vs. HOU) LaDell Betts (vs. PHI) I am also having trouble deciding my WR/TE flex. Brandon Marshall would be the obvious choice, but I already have Javon Walker. I just don't know about starting two WRs from a team that isn't Indianapolis or Cincinnati. Brandon Marshall (vs. OAK) Demetrius Williams (vs. NYJ) Jacoby Jones (vs. CAR) Drew Bennett (vs. SF) I originally had DeAngelo Williams/Demetrius Williams in my lineup, but I just switched it to Betts/Marshall. Not sure what to do on this one. Also, forgive the ****ty way this looks. My account or computer is somehow ****ed up and does not recognize when I press enter. Max says I'm in HTML mode, I call it "DefenseWinsChampionships" mode.

PeterNorth's help notwithstanding with choosing which round 9-15 backups to your flex position to go with... first one...I would probably lean towards Betts. He seems more likely than Williams to get more than half the carries. Williams has yet to have a good NFL game, so guessing which game that's going to be is tough. But this really this one looks like a coin-toss to me. After the games are over you'll see what the right decision was. the 2nd one...either Demetrius Williams or Brandon Marshall. And I'd lean towards the latter. He's the only pure starter in the bunch, against a pass defense that just got picked apart by the great Jon Kitna. If it helps to rationalize starting both him & Walker, look at it this way: what if Sunday is one of those games where Marshall outscores Walker. If you don't have at least a boom-or-bust guy, I'd stay with the pick that would at least hedge my bet. Of course that goes out the window if Cutler has a bad day. Any of them have their own risks. Demetrius Williams was targeted a lot, including in the red zone/end zone, but that was with McNair. Boller may or may not target him as frequently. best of luck

My main hesitation with Betts is that my opponent has Portis. We are in a TD heavy league (15 yards per rushing/receiving point, 6 for TD) and I am worried that Portis will get the goal-line carries. I am not sure who gets them for Carolina. I also have Ron Dayne, but I'm thinking "no" on that one. It would have actually worked out for me last week to start the two Denver receivers. I'm worried that Denver will just run the ball down their throats all game, though.

I was being nice.
