chris66
Now that the nfl ruled that the tape had no bearing on the game at all. This turned out to be a good old fashion butt kicking. with Bmore coming up next and the oline an dline still the same lines that where out there on sunday, what can we realisticly expect

Our NT being blown off the line and Willis McGahee to have another big day against the Jets. IMO Mangini has to get very creative in order to pull this one off and I am sincerely hoping that this week has put a fire in our players. We NEED this game. We go into Baltimore and play our asses off. Nuff said! The quicker we drop talking about the P**S the quicker we can make this team better. NY JETS 29
We just need to play better. The NFL obviously ruled that it had no impact on the game because that would of brought up past games that the patriots have been speculated of cheating and it of been dragged on through the season, they didnt want that. What's done is done. The Jets need to just play better fix the mistakes they made in week 1 and move on. The O line needs to do a better job run blocking so we can Thomas Jones going which will open up the pass game for KC. The defense needs to play better and I think they will, they were embarassed last week reguardless of the cheating or not, they have something to prove, there pride. I think will see more Brad Smith this weekend under center, it should be interesting. Win or Lose the season is not over, but a win would get us back on track with the fish at home next weekend. Gibbon
Who cares? The sanctity of the league is gone. Does it really even matter who wins anymore? Sanctity of the league? Are you serious? If you're faith in humanity has been shaken by this incident you really need to get out more. Teams, players, and coaches cheat every week. They should be busted when it happens, but lets not act like we're 15 year old virgins on prom night here. This kind of stuff goes on, has gone on, will go on. I mean our own coach has, in the past, invited guys in and signed guys to the team that were cut by the Pats for the purpose of gaining information. This isnt against the rules, but it certainly seems a bit slimey. Some of us are acting like the league was built by saints who did no wrong and crapped roses. Its always been a down and dirty game at the professional level. We can hope for improvement, but the reality is that all teams have and will push the envelope in order to gain competitive advantages. When they go to far they get slapped back. Thats all that happened here.

If you want to watch cheaters, that is your perogative, I was paying attention because I like the sport. I refuse to waste my time, energy and money on a bunch of cheaters. I will find something else to do instead.

Please tell me when exactly you think the league was sanctified? The only difference between now and then was that now people know about this stuff. Go back and watch some of the NFL Films episodes about the early days of the NFL and listen to those old guys talk about the stuff they used to pull and then come back and preach to me about the sanctity of the league? What about the Raiders of the 70s? What about the phrase "If you aint cheatin' you aint tryin'" Thats been around for decades in this league. Stop acting like a little girl. You'll still watch football this Sunday and by the end of the month your desire to be righteously indignant at the least provocation will have found a new focus. PS. There's no Santa, there's no Easter Bunny, Pete Rose bet on baseball, and just because the package says it will make your pecker grow doesnt mean it will work for you. chris66
losing a first round pick is a slap on the wrist? are you kidding me! I would rather have the coach suspended for a couple of weeks. At least he would still be able to game plan and follow up on meetings and things. you have to remeber for a guy like belicheck its the preparation that important which he could have easily done at home, but a first round pick you will never get back

I think this game presents the Jets with a number of good possibilities to expand. The offense should be more dynamic (not risky). Kellen knows the plays, he knows the system, and his mobility should make the Jets harder to game plan for. On the defensive side we should get a chance to see what D. Harris can do. The D we have now has never been able to stop Willi Mac. I think they have to use Harris to improve the run D this week. Also, with Boller under center the Jets should feel more free to blitz and stunt. Over all, I think the Ravens injury situation presents the Jets with a decent opportunity to get a W over what will probably be a playoff team.
