DonCorleone
They do not lose the #1 pick that they have from SF 49ers. So it is possible, though unlikely, that they still will have 2 # ones.

Don't count the eggs too early. They still have at least 15 more games to cheat again.
gang_green03
It sucks they had two picks this year. I almost wish they could've lost both but that would've set an impossible precedent.
tparich
Cheating in the fashion that they did without more severe sanctions has allready set a precedent that will haunt Roger for years to come. It will be brought up every time he is trying to suspend a player.

And different rules for different coaches. If I were part of the Cowboys organization, I would have a huge problem with this non suspension. If Roger Goodell was such a tough guy he'd take NE's first round pick, give it to the Jets and suspend that cheating POS for 4 games. Real easy to punish a thug no one likes like Pacman but he gets all pussified when he has to deal with the star HC of the game.

Whether it made an impact on the game or not, the Jets were the ones the Pats played when they got caught. The Jets are victims. Why should they not get some sort of compensation? gang_green03
Because that makes no sense. That penalizes all other teams, and especially the division, not just the Patriots. That gives us the competative advantage of getting a free extra draft pick.

Maybe something like taking away their first and giving the jets their third would have been a fair compromise.

Maybe something like taking away their first and giving the jets their third would have been a fair compromise. It did put us at a disadvantage, but you can't penalize the entire leauge for it. Say they gave us the Pats pick and we get a starter out of it, that effects everyone we play against not just the Pats. How is that fair to the other teams that didn't cheat us? The only compensation that we could possibly get is having the win credited to us. I wouldn't have agree with that though. I think all the commish could do was punish the Pats. What facts did he use to determine that there was no way the Pats could of used that information to change anything in that game?
JayKwaz
I thought the extra pick they had was from Seattle? that was from last year. they took that pick and traded out of the first round with the 49ers for there first this year. 49ers got Joe Staley. serphnx
I don't care about the draft pick honestly, I wanted BB to get a lifetime ban though, or at least something more than he got. The players union should absolutely fight any player suspension as a result of this, and in fact, should appeal the suspensions already laid out.
