310 to Yuma:

The Western is back. The old fashioned, bad guys are bad guys and heroes you root for is back. This is the best western since Eastwoods 'Unfaithful' in my opinion. It smacks of John Houston scripting and story movement. Russel Crows is fantastic as the dirty dog desperado. Christian Bale is perfectly cast as the borderline fraile hero and frail husband/father.

The storyline follows the hust for Crowe and its eventual ramifications of the main characters. There is never a dull moment and the script never eases up. Great, great movie.

The Brave One:

Wheter you like Jodie Foster or not, you have to give her credit for picking movies. She rarely has a bomb movie. All of her selections are usually well paced and well scripted movies. Being the executive producer all the time is abig help.

Here we have a basic redoing of Bronsans 'Death Wish'. The difference here is the revenge of my lovers killing storyline goes WAY farther than anything Death Wish came close to. This movie delves much deeper into the psychological impact of both her loss and her eventual retribution.

Very entertaing movie that will entertain. Said from Lost fame is her doctor boyfriend, while the detective on the prowl of the Vigialnte killer is well crafted by Terrence Howard.
