The guy just knows how to win with very little talent. Took that mess of a team last year to 8-8 and this year it looks like they will challenge for the NFC North. It looks like the bears will be pretty average this year (defense is still really good), but they aren't going to be getting those cheap last minute hail mary wins. The pack split with them last year, and will do that again, if not sweep them. Favre doesn't need much, and his defense is looking to be one of the better units in the NFC.
