MSGold12
Friday Night Lights starts its new season two weeks from this Friday. I implore ALL of you to not only watch this show but to also tell as many people as you can to watch this show. Simply put, it is the best and most well written show on TV...and its in danger of being cancelled because the majority of this country is stupid and would rather watch some assinine reality show. Give this show a shot...it has a remarkable cast and as I said the writing is second to none. Its a football show...but not really. It is in my mind the best sports TV show ever to air and if the ratings dont perk up, it wont make it through the season. Simmons just wrote a similar article in ESPN magazine which is what gave me the impetus to write this. It airs Friday nights at 9 on NBC. If you get a chance you can watch the last few episodes of last seaosn on NBC.com. They are tremendous and can get you cuaght up very quickly for season 2. COME ON....HELP A JET BROTHER OUT!!! SAVE MY FAVORITE SHOW!!!!
124
So its returning on the 5th? Nice. I had forgotten when new episodes were coming back. FNL is one of my favorites, actually my favorite non-comedy show on TV. Cannot wait for it to return, even if I'm going to be taping all the shows because I will not give up my Friday nights unless I'm at work.

Spread the word to any who will listen (and watch). because if it doesnt get the ratings, it coud be gone by XMas and that would be a damn shame. Iceman88
Friday Night Lights is the best show on television. Even if you don't like football (which shouldn't matter to anybody on this board) you will love this show. Everybody should buy the DVD of the first season and watch it. NBC has so much confidence in this show the DVD set is only $20 or $25 and they will give you a full refund if you did not enjoy the show after watching the DVDs. Sadly NBC is going to kill this show by putting it on Friday nights which is a television show death sentence. EVERYBODY SHOULD GO BUY THE DVDS NOW! I know it's a TV dead zone but I've always thought that Friday Night Lights should be actually ON Friday nights. Makes sense in a way.
Bob
Sorry. I tried. It's too soap-opera-ish for me. Get Alk to help. He watches "Days of Our Lives."
Alk
Sorry. I tried. It's too soap-opera-ish for me. Get Alk to help. He watches "Days of Our Lives." I'm not helping with this one. I hated it too. If you're going to make a show about football, make a show about football not high school football with some Beverly Hills 90210 mixed in. Playmakers > FNL. 124
Playmakers over FNL? No way. Playmakers was great, but FNL is better. The only thing Playmakers had that was better was the running back competition between the young guy and the old, proven vet.
