Thai Jet
The raiders have a better O and D line than the jets. How does that make anyone here feel? That's the main point. Jordan left as a free agent, Since we had Cumart we couldn't tie up that much money in the RB position so we had virtually no control over Jordans leaving. I doubt Jordan would run for any signifigant yardage with our current O line.

I doubt Jordan would run for any signifigant yardage with our current O line. We gave Blaylock ~$3M/yr; Oakland gave Jordan ~$5M/yr. We just gave Jones $5M/yr. So what did the organization learn about not giving big contracts to 29 year-old RB's?

AFJF
it comes down to the offensive line...no holes no yards period...what did the organization learn about not signing offensive line help? Not to say I don't like Revis, but I was shocked to see how many people on this board were anti-Justin Blaylock/O-line with an early pick because "we just used two 1st rounders on high picks" but as I said at the time...we all know games are won in the trenches. Use two or three drafts to build a great young line and you'll be a force for years to come. JMO of course.
124
Moving Robert Gallery to LG was the best decision the Raiders could've made and I hope that LaMont Jordan would have more yards than Thomas Jones this season. After all, with Josh McCown at the helm the Raiders have no passing game. Congrats to LaMont to finally having 2 consecutive good games. How old is he now that he finally did that? 28? 29? Very impressive.

Scott Dierking
Please with the Lamont Jordan recirculation of posts. You know what this guy is. A tease. A lazy tease. Aside from 2004, thus guy has never, I repeat never been able to stand up to the rigors of a full work load in a 16 game season. Once, I repeat once, has he endured a workload of over 115 carries in a season. And some of the people that bash Pennington about durability (deservedly so), prop up Lamont Jordan as the poster boy of what the NY Jets need? Please. You know how Lamont Jordan stayed in shape this off season? he swam. That is all, he swam. I think his head may explode with a Schottenheimer play book-Though, not from what I have seen this year. Please no, on Lamont Jordan.

All LaMont Jordan is is a guy who can run the ball about 15 times a game throughout a season. He cannot carry the ball 20-25 times a game over a 16 game stretch and be effective. He is a P.O.S. Remember his absence from training camp? The "lazy" tag that was bandied about? I watched him on one play last year, where the ball was a lateral, behind the line of scrimmage, ment for him, and he watched the ball roll on the ground as 2 defenseive players raced after it, picked it up and scored a defensive TD. All while he looked on in mock amazement. Everyone (Sperm, lol)wants to point at Martin's YPC. You know what LJ's is the only 2 years he was able to tote it over 100 times? 3.8. 3.8 YPC. SD, I"ve had this debate a million times over so I'm going to keep this short but give my opinion on Lamont. I NEVER condone a player being lazy and often want those type of players off my roster in a heartbeat. However, in the case of Lamont I see a guy who spent three consecutive seasons being promised by the coach that he would be more involved in the offense. He was an explosive player with tons of potential who did nothing but sit on the bench. Through his first three seasons he averaged less than three carries per game. Players make a lot of money and blah blah blah, this that and the other but at the end of the day..when you're a grown man and your boss lies to you (and the public) about your increased role/promotion...at some point it's going to take it's toll on you and you're going to say "**** off". If it had been one season of lying to the guy I'd say he was a dog. Two and I'd wonder where his heart was? Three? Three friggin seasons of sitting on the bench as a 2nd round pick? Larry friggin Johnson was sitting behind the best RB on the planet for a few weeks and publicly started critcizing the organization. LJ kept his mouth shut and played the good soldier for three years and like any other human being he got tired of being lied to and it took enough out of him that he slacked off. Now if anyone on this board is such a big person (actually I'd call you stupid) that you could be told for three years running that you were going to get a promotion and a pay raise and you didnt stop showing up or look for a new job...well I just don't think any of you would. He's a human being who played for a POS head coach and got fed up with being lied to. Again, time will tell what he's capable of. In two seasons he's had one VERY productive year and one year in which he was injured. Well, so much for keeping it short.

Sperm Edwards was obviously the Curtis supporter in the battle. F you LaMont. JORDAN SUCKS! Nah, not how I remember it, everyone absolutely DESPISED Lamont at one point, and for good reason, he was clearly disgruntled for riding the pine and when he did get his few touches or returns he just stunk the joint up because he could care less. Actually, it was his kick returns which really got people pissed, because he just didn't even try. I just went to nfl.com to look at his stats for 03, and in kick returns he averaged 19 with a long of only 25, and that was good enough to rank him in a 4 way tie for 96th best returner. Nice post, and I understand that perspective, but at the end of the day, it is a business and sometimes you get F'ed over. Did he? I don't know. I don't know what was said to him. I don't know how he practices. What I do know is that he has never been able to shoulder 100% of the load. Obviously, that is skewed by his early years splinters. What I also know is the player that I see who does not respond well in "football" situations. I see him "dummy up" at times. It is not like he is in the same game. I also know that he gets dinged, and my suspicion is that he does not like to play with "ouchies". He did not learn that from the Jets, I know that. Sperm Edwards
because we all know Spern craves attention Actually, I post here because the resident homos crave Sperm. But carry on. Tell me more how Martin's seasons under 4 ypc on some top teams were everyone else's fault but his own & Jordan somehow getting 3.8ypc behind a worse line than the Jets have right now is also indicative of failure. I didn't say I want the guy on the team right now (although he's clearly more of a playmaker than Jones). Nor do I crave a situation where one RB carries 25 times a game for 16 games (which maybe a handful of players have done in NFL history). Jones certainly isn't that kind of RB. He's most effective with under 20 carries. He's also a better receiver than Jones or Martin ever were & has more power than either one ever had and probably faster than either one. And at the end of the day, the bill for Blaylock + Jones was more than the bill for Jordan, who wanted to remain with this team very much. Even said so after he signed with Oakland. But if he's truly stupid & lazy then I don't want him on the Jets either.
