SoFlaJets
has finally broke down here in Africa. I actually have the windows open and not a moment too soon as the A/C compressor outside has frozen up. You get so sick of breathing processed air that it starts to drive you crazy. I'm leaving the windows open as long as I can today to try and air the house out...I friggin hate Florida....from May to September

#27TheDominator
the family hails from the Abruzzi Province Dom That's not Africa! We have some friends there. Just spent a weekend in Navelli just south of L'Aquila. Beautiful countryside and you can get places dirt cheap. Doesn't seem to be too much work though. We went for the ceci (chickpea-garbonza beans) & zafferano (saffron) festival and Palio like Siena. Only on donkeys. What a mad house. Imagine a chick dressed in a red skirt, white shirt and red shawl with ceci sewn in as fringe and a huge hat with saffron flowers sticking out presiding over 15 dudes in tights racing donkeys around a quarter mile track. Ate real well though.

About 110km from Navelli. All on a giant "S" on A25 closer to Rome. It's pretty far from Milan, but it'd probably take well less than an hour from Navelli. If you come let me know. Bob
We had frost yesterday morning. Middle of September. Ridiculous. We were just five degrees from that here, too. My furnace has kicked on the last three mornings. Cold weather sucks.
SoFlaJets
Carlos our A/C guy will be out here later on because apparently some switch on the compressor is fried making the thing run non-stop...not too bad a day to be w/o A/C though-who says there's no God?
