NIGHT STALKER
I was there in '62 with my converted Dodgers and Giants fans friends and we all sang this song togther...it was fun times back then. Meet the Mets, meet the Mets, Step right up and greet the Mets. Bring your kiddies, bring your wife, Guaranteed to have the time of your life. Because the Mets are really sockin' the ball, Knockin' those home runs over the wall. East side, West side, everybody's coming down, To meet the M-E-T-S Mets, of New York town. Oh, the butcher and the baker and the people on the streets, Where did they go? To MEET THE METS! Oh, they

JetCane
If it wasnt for the canes beatin' up on ATM last night, I'd be really despondent today. Thing is, I knew that Marlen Anderson was going to get a big hit when he was up in the ninth. i just felt it. Then, to see the BP throw it all away again is just disheartening. And why did they take Feliciano out after only one batter? wasnt that dumb?
OneEyedWonder
And why did they take Feliciano out after only one batter? wasnt that dumb? Its just another case of Willie over managing. Let the guy pitch, he can get other guys out, you don't always have to play the lefty/righty percentage game. The thing that gets me the most, is after the game he said he called down the bullpen in the 6 or 7 inning to find out if Wagner would be available, and he found out he wouldn't. At that point he has to decide that Heilman will be the closer for the night, not those other mop up clowns. Heilman has done it before and can handle it, not to mention he has the best stuff. And why did they take Feliciano out after only one batter? wasnt that dumb? I had the same freakin question. I left for work and missed the bottom of the 9th but with a 7-4 lead I was cool. I get to work and they have Sports Center on and I'm like WTF???. Checked the box score to find Feliciano only pitched to one batter!! He's ,IMO ,been the most steady of any of the relievers down the stretch here. Let the guy pitch. Christ we had a 3 run lead with only 3 outs to go.
