Jetheelz
Can we all agree that this guy sucks? He has to be the worst starting QB in the NFL. Yeah, he's really bad. Take a look at what his 2003 bowman chrome rookie auto did valuewise: When it first came out, it was listing at about $150 As of Friday it is worth $80 and going down

Gainzo
Not the opposing defense. True. 8 minutes left in the game tonight. Here are Rex's stats: 15 of 31 for 195 yards 0 TD's & 2 INT's. He is awful.

DefenseWinsChampionships
Everytime I watch Rex play... Actually, Chicago is called the windy city because of its politicians (its an old story, but true) not because its windy. It may get colder than NJ but the stadium is probably not much windier. drago
as i'm watching the game, i'm trying to think of a good excuse to actually play him. The only thing i could think of was that it makes the GM look foolish for having wasted a draft pick on him. Get over it. He's awful, there is no reason to leave him in, especially when you have a proven game managing veteran behind him. what's wrong with playing Griese? Had they played him in the SB, it would have been much closer.
onemanswarm
I wish I could lend some Bear fan insight to this thread, but unfortunately I speak on behalf of approximately .01% of all Bear fans: I don't think Grossman should be benched. Yet. Grossman was atrocious last night. No sensible person would argue otherwise. However, I would suggest that Grossman is not alone in Suckville. The Bears receivers are terrible. Their best receiver, Berrian, dropped two crucial passes, one of which was a sure touchdown. Muhsin Muhammad, the Bears #2, would be the #4 or 5 receiver for half of the teams in the league. He can't get open. On top of that, the Bears "workhorse" running back keeps putting the ball on the turf. Last but not least, I have no idea what the Bears Offensive Coordinator is trying to accomplish. This is an offense with no identity and massive systematic problems from the o-line through the quarterback and right on down to everybody else who manages to touches the ball long enough to F S up. The Bears could go to Griese, and they will have to if Grossman doesn't McNabb the hapless Lions secondary. But there's a reason that they haven't already gone to Griese. Namely, the coaches realize that it won't matter. Griese will look the part (the part played by Dennis Quaid in Any Given Sunday, that is), he'll dink and dunk, and then he, too will get sacked and throw picks because the Bears have no offensive weapons. Grossman is bad. Sadly, unless the Bears bring in better receivers or find a dominant running game to set up play action, it won't matter who is taking the snaps. #8, #12, and #18 are all equally capable of getting knocked on their immobile asses while forcing throws to tightly covered receivers with loose grips.
