155 games so far and still nothing decided between the Yanks and Sox. A huge game today and a great pitching matchup as A.J. Burnett goes for the Jays and Pettitte goes for the Yanks

1 game behind is alot easier to come back from then 2 games back so this is a big, big game today for the Yanks

Rest of the way

Yanks

3 games at Tampa

3 games at Baltimore

Red Sox

2 games at home vs Oakland

4 games at home vs Minnesota

This is probably going down to the final day.

I hope so. I have my tickets for Friday already and just bid on Saturday on E-bay. Sunday is up next.

Safe travels.

Thanks SD...A few days in Balt, a week in NY, and a week in Orlando....it should be a good time. Hopefully Sundays Yankees vs. O's game won't mean much so I can go to the ESPNZone in Balt and watch the Jets game.

Yankees need to keep winning and hope that Boston drops one.

Yankees only need to tie to win the division -- they've got the first tie-breaker wrapped up.

Exactly. This is a perfect opportunity for them to make up for losing to sub par teams all season. Lets face it, Yanks are leading the division right now if they dominate the D' Rays they way they should. They've put themselves in this spot so it's up to them to get out of it.

If Gagne hadn't sucked giant moose balls, the Sox would be up 5 1/2 games.

You're better than that, AFJ.

What Thor said.

You would think teams that cost close to a half billion dollars would have less flaws. ;)

correct...and I would also think a team with that payroll would have an .800 or better winning percentage vs. the D' Rays.

I see what you're saying Thor but my point is that this is a chance for the Yankees to make up for not beating the D' Rays. As a team. It's a team effort. Gagne? He was an unknown. He'd never pitched in a pressure market before and nobody knew how he was going to react. My comment was that this was a chance for the Yankees as a team to make up for poor play vs. an inferior opponent. If we knew ahead of time somehow that Gagne was going to get four or five save chances this week you would be right in saying it was his chance to atone for his earlier failures and lock up the division for the Sox.
