I think I am going to study harder

I just got a 63 on my Calculus test....

I studied for a long time on this, and felt that I knew it all....

I made CONSTANT careless mistakes... I tricked myself..... I did everything wrong..

There was only one problem that I wasn't sure of, and I still managed to fail....

This was the first test I got back of the year... I can't afford this college anymore, so I promised myself that I would get good grades so I could transfer into a good state school... After getting a 2.1 GPA last semester this is no way to start...

I get my Econ test back at 4.. I'm sure I will fail that too... even though I thought I got an A on it..

What an omen..

I usually shrug these things off, but this one hurts... This one is devastating... I literally lost over 30 poiints in stupid mistakes..

Again, I am absoloutley devastated.. This is the worst possible thing that could have happened to start the year...

BoomBoom would have celebrated getting 6.

Usually I am like that..

This one was different..

Do you know what it is like to think that you did great on something, and later find out that you failed???

Do you have any idea?

Do you realize how badly I wanted to do well on this test????

You can't even begin to understand the mistakes I made on this test.. Just simply moronic...

C'mon guys.. Im really looking for someone to step up, and just say something that would put all this into perspective...

It is one test. You said yourself that this was not how you wanted to start off your year, right?

My advice: study more, eliminate those mistakes you made. Go to the teacher for help. Get a tutor to help. Talk to someone in your class who understands it and would be willing to help you.

There are alot of things you can do to make this better.

I teach at school and here we offer alot of things to help students who need assistance. The tutoring program is one we have gotten alot of good results from.

You can change things, just get out and take the initiative and you will improve your grade.

One test does not make your life- be determined to do better the next time.

That's what I say usually.. but this just seems different..

I feel as if this was the "gift" test, and I blew it.. I don't feel like I deserved what I got, and need to step it up next time.. I feel like I simply let one slip through the cracks..

The teacher/my parents will think that I didn't understand it but that just wasn't the case...

For god sakes.. I lost 12 points because the graph I drew was too long, and I misread what the problem was asking

The answer for A was -2 and the answer for B was -5.. I simply just got them mixed up.. After doing the work all I had to do was look at my answer and it would have been right.. Instead I put the answer for A was -5 and the answer for B was -2...

That wasn't even the start of it...

I forgot signs, labels, plugged in wrong values.. Awful.. My preparation was good.. My execution was poor..

Impossible.. I need to get a B in this class AT LEAST.. Right now I am lucky if I even pass..

It is only going to get harder, and I DID go to tutors.. I went from the begining... A tutor can't take the test for you, and it is more than likely I will continue to make stupid mistakes...

I didn't get a good result so I am done with tutoring...

I wish I could go to a place that is higher me..

school sucks, its aimed to make you feel smart or stupid, its not the end all. I wasted 18 years of my life going to school, and i hated every minute. If i had to do it over, i would not have gone to college.

No worries dude.

Take your test, with no notes or answers and do the whole thing over again for practice. Or go to your teacher and go over the whole thing, the more comfortable you are with the style of the tests the better you will do

Stressing out won't help. Think of it in perspective, its one math test out of your whole miserable life, you wont be bringing this story up to your grandkids, its not important

note: this doesn't mean you should actually procreate
