Jetsfan80
David Barrett, with 22. With Barrett Ruud leading the league in this category, with 27, Barrett would be the league leader if he hadn't whiffed on so many tackle attempts. The fact that a mediocre corner is our leading tackler is a terrible thing. Don't interpret this as praise-worthy for Barrett. It's more of a sign of our ineptitude as a team, particulary the front 7, to make plays.

The more a CB is thrown at and passes are completed the more tackles they will have.

Scott Dierking
It's a sign that RB's are making their way to the second and third waves. Really, an indictment of the LB play on this team.

Its really not that at all. Ecurb was right, its because teams pick on him, simple as that.

NY JETS 29
LMAO when I opened this, this just proves how pitiful we really are on defense at the moment. Mangini named in defensive player of the game for Miami too I think. Unreal

DMaynard
This is like naming a "cutest girl" at a leper colony. Mangini should have just skipped defense.

Scott Dierking
Didn't Barrett make a great play on a screen play, trapped behind the line? I mean, who were you going to name on the defensive side? Certainly not a linebacker.
CoachTsurfing
That stat of 22 tackles says a lot, and it sure as hell aint a good thing. I'm not defending the guy, because he is pretty much a horrible cb, but at least he is tackling them after they catch it. Maybe if we move him to one of the safety spots? DMaynard
See Welkers TD week 1. Why? Aren't you supposed to play 10 yards off the LOS when the other team has the ball on your 7 yard line? It then took him so long to recover that he blew the tackle, but at least he was preventing the long bomb.
Jetsfan80
Why did Mangini give a defensive POG award at all last week? He should have just said "F all of you" and given multiple awards for offensive POG.
