That position is a reach, at best. The Sux have already clinched a playoff berth, they weren't exactly playing the Yankees and Bahstonians have already had over 150 Sux games to watch, so there's some baseball fatigue.

It's hardly a surprise that the Patsies* would garner a bigger share of the TV watchers for a rivalry game vs. the Bills. The NFL season is still a novelty.

They were talking about the SD game, Bob. The Sox had not clinched yet and this IS a YANKEES game we're talking about - the rubber match of a three game set. Sox fans are OBSESSED with the Yankees. Baseball just isn't what it used to be here - sure - it's big - real big - but I think people are just getting bored with it - the whole management's "hollywood" style - and the Pats, and the NFL in general, is just more fun to watch. Screw the Red Sox.

Plus, they deserve this after producing the most God awful TV show of all time: Sox Appeal. A reality dating series where a single lady or man meet three potential dates for two innings a piece in the Green Monster Seats - the tv audience gets to play voyuer and see these people make complete fools of themselves. If I were a member of RSN - I'd be embarrased by this latest Tom Werner production.

A few points:

-Football is a much more exciting game to watch than baseball. Baseball ona regular basis to watch is much akin to watching grass grow or paint dry.

-If given the choice to watch the Patriots game or the Red Sox game it is fairly obvious that the choice is for the Pats. They play far less games and missing one Red Sox game out of 162 isn't going to kill you.

-Your hatred of Sox ownership is quite evident, but you continually post about them and just bringing them to the forefront. Why don't you just stop paying attention to them. That's what I do when I don't care for things.

-You turning in your RSN card, Garb? That's not a whole lot of loyalty.

I stand corrected on the matchups.

"Sox Appeal?" Really? And I thought the Yankees "reality" show was bad. :rl:

I still say Bahston is a Sox town.

There is not one self respecting Sox fan that is happy with that show.

Am I happy with everything the owners have done? No, but I'm still going to root for the team.

Still have that picture on your phone?

How BAD is that show - hello???? And how exactly do you view this show when you live in TAMPA....right?

Truth be told, I checked it out one night because one the attorney's I work knew one of the "contestants" - his good friends ex-wife. LOL! I figured this woman would be a nut job because this attornety is a nut job and I would assume his good friend was too. I was right! I love it when my stance is validated! ;)

Yes, I still have that Yankee Logo picture on my phone - but I did get rid of the Red Sox cover (only to put it on when I see my niece - who gave it to me as a birthday gift. I'm a sucker for that kid.) As a True Pats fan - it's my duty to disparage the Sox.....and Lyin' Sleeze-ball Larry Lucchino, Super homo- Werner and The Human Stick Figure - Henry.

I've been saying tthis for a while now....no one believes me. Old habit? Sheep mentality? Buy into the baseball lovin' - agenda pushing - Boston media? Whatever it is, time to face the truth:

Garb I agree with your point.

I think the Pats are making inroads to the old ball teams popularity.
