124
From Rich Cimini: Quarterback: B- It was a typical Pennington performance, as he won by being a good game manager. He passed for only 124 yards, a career low in a victory, but he was big in the clutch, hitting 8 of 9 passes on third down. It's hard to believe, but none of his 15 completions traveled further than 17 yards in the air. He was like Tom Glavine, not throwing hard, but moving the ball around and keeping the other side off balance. He was masterful at the end of the first half, leading the hurry-up en route to a touchdown. His two touchdown throws, to Laveranues Coles and Chris Baker, showed pinpoint accuracy. He joked that it took eight seconds for him to run two yards on his touchdown. His spiking technique needs work. There's no question that Kellen Clemens brings the vertical dimension to the offense, but the offense runs better with Pennington at the helm. I'm just sayin':tongue2:
Scott Dierking
here's the problem for you-If you are going to use Cimini as justification for your grade, you also have to buy into his statement that the offense runs better with Pennington at the helm. That seems to contradict other statements you have made here

That seems to contradict other statements you have made here Agreed. Last week when I pointed out to 124 that every other writer had a vastly different grade than he did for one of the units (I forget which one) that didnt seem relevant to him. Now, when it suits his purposes to show that one (crappy) reporter had the same grade as him, he trumpets it.
Scott Dierking
Why do I have to buy into the last line? It had no outcome in the grading, its just there. Because, if you are going to buy into the "what Rich Cimini says is gospel" line, you can't pick and choose his verses that you will buy into. That, my friend, would be a hypocrite. You don't have to be 110% in love with the guy, just pointing out when it comes to the grading of Chad's game, he gave him a B-. The KC / CP running the offense thing had no effect on the grade given, which is all I'm talking about, not his view on who the better QB for the team may or may not be. Let me slow it down for you: His crappyness is better than yours since the job he holds maybe it should be, because look at the job he holds, but oh well, you should be able to understand it. 124
So, Rich Cimini can be wrong, on his opinions, in your estimation? On the QB debate, yes, on his RC he is dead on. How is that being a hypocrite? Like madmike with Wes Welker and ecurb with Chad vs Miami compared to Brady, this one is not going to be won by the challenger. 124
Foxsports.com: PASSING OFFENSE: B -- Not a lot of yardage (only 115 net counting Miami's one sack), but a lot of results as Chad Pennington threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions. The offensive line played better than it had in the first two games, and LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson did well when matched one-on-one with Jason Taylor, who was sackless. The biggest mistake was Miami's lone sack, which occurred when Vonnie Holliday beat Adrien Clarke.

124
Diud you grade QB, or the p[assing game? Which was it? In this it looks like Chad would have a lesser grade if the D'Brick line isn't in there, does it not? Again, who was passing the ball?
Scott Dierking
Remind me again who the QB was? I feel embarassed that I have to tell the Jetnation grade assessor that a QB grade takes into account only what the QB does.
