Maxman
What will the Jets record be? Jetsfan80
I would LOVE to be optimistic about these 6 games leading up to the bye week, but I would be a whole lot more confident if I didn't have concerns about our defense. You don't run off 5 wins in 6 games if your D is consistenly going to allow over 20 pts a game.
shawn306
I reallly don't like the matchup this week against Buffalo. You have an 0-3 team desperate for a win and they are playing home for the first time since the Kevin Everett injury. I just don't have a good feeling about this week. I hope I am wrong. If they go 4-2 (losing to the Eagles and at Buffalo) I would be elated. The Bengals do not impress me The Giants flat out suck The Jets should win the rematch with Buffalo The Redskins game will be interesting as well since they have not done well against them in the past. 3-3 seems logical, I'm hoping for 4-

124
This may be the first time in years that we have a legitimate chance to sweep the Bills and we cannot miss this opportunity with the Giants (Their defense may finally have clicked and their Offense is playing very well), Eagles (Are they back now?), Washington (Pretty good defense and solid running game) and Cincinnati (Top 3 Offense) in the other 4 games. I'm hoping to be at worst 5-4, but our defense is going to be the major question. If our D continues to struggle, 3-6 is likely. If it starts to improve 5-4, MAYBE even 6-3 is possible but this defense must improve.

Call me a homer. Go ahead. It will be 6 and 3. They lose in Cincy and run the rest of the games. Thoughts? Sunday is a BIG game Buffalo is in desperate need of win, but were just a better team that should win the game. The giant game will be interesting, they looked good in the second half of Sunday's game, but how much of that was a Redskins let down I dont know. We should have a great crowd on hand for Philly when we bring back the Titan uniforms and I think our secondary may be able to exploit the eagles wr core. Cincy's offense is awesome and they'll be home, but there defense isn't good so Shotty and the offense may have to make this a shootout. As I mentioned above the Bills arent any good and this may be the first time in a few years we may be able to sweep them. The redskins are a better team, but I'll take us at home against an NFC team any day of the week. Yeah that's a homer call, but oh well. @ Bills- W @ NYG- W (this is the iffy game) Philly- W @ Cincy- L Bills- W Redskins- W 6-3, potentially 5-4 with the Giants game. C-Mart28
5-4 with losses to Philly and Cincy, two offenses that are too strong for our D. Though I hope I'm wrong since I'll actually be in Cincy for one of the two games I'm going to this year. As things are now though, I dont see much better than that. GimmeShelter
5-4 with losses to Philly and Cinn followed by a 5 win post bye schedule. 10 W's should get us to the post season in spite of Bartonette proclaiming to all that we are not a play-off team. This years defense gives me no confidence that they can hold a lead. After almost blowing it against one of the worst teams in the league, i am very concerned. We have no run defense and no pass rush. IMO the FO spent too much time worrying about the O during the offseason. Defense win titles. The Bears won the NFC last year because of defense in spite of Rex calling the signals on offense. After this season Mangini and Tannenbaum need to work on building a killer defense to be a contender.

I have to agree with this the most of them all. I think we will be 5-4 or 4-5, depending on if we can sweep Buffalo or if Washington's D keeps it close enough for Campbell to pull out a win. This team is going to be anywhere from 3-6 to 5-4.

Barton
4-5, at best. We never sweep the Bills. Bengals, Eagles and Skins are no pushovers. And neither are the Giants, for that matter. 3-6 is definitely possible.

If the defense lets the other team score 24 points and Chad isn't able to pick on Travis Daniels and Will Allen, can he get us 27 or 28 points? The Special Teams is a unit that has to come up big for us each and every week with the defense we have right now, as well as Thomas Jones. We must control the clock.
