My Direct TV has some new HD channels

Just noticed that all my HBO channels, Shotime channels, SCIFI channel, History Channel, NFL channel, Weather Channel, and the BIGTEN channel, just to name a few are in HD. Cool stuff!! However on some channels the audio is out of sync with the lips, what gives?

As of last night, the new HD channels were loaded into the programming guide, but not on. I'd get a "searching for sattelite signal" message.Guys on one of the Chiefs messageboards were getting the new full slate last night I still was getting all the "old"HD channels. We'll see tonight when I get home.

Do you have the 5LNB dish? You wont get the new HD channels unless you have their newer dish. I have it yet, these friggin HD channels still drop on me from time to time. Always something with this directv, always something.

After 45 minutes on the phone(Tests, resets, BS),situation not addressed, so I'm getting a service call Saturday. They came a week ago for the "free dish upgrade" and said that I have the 5 LNB dish so ther was no need. I don't know what to think, because I still get tons of "old" HD channels like HBO, ESPN, YES, all the networks.

I had my install this week, yet I am not getting the New HD channels. I get a message 721, that I do not have them on my subscription.

CS said everything should be fixed by the end of the weekend.

Still trying to get used to the new DVR functionality as compared to TIVO.

If your dish says "slime line" on it you have the right dish.

Looks like you may have the same problem as me, I have the updated dish yet the channels still drop. They come back on then they randomly drop again. Not only the new HD channels that were released, even the "old" basic ones. With the new HD channels im getting the searching for signal 721 thing, with the old channels I just get a black screen at times. If i come back to the channel a few minutes later the channel is working. Bizzarre. Resetting the box has fixed jack.

Please let me know if the repairman fixes your problem.

I have worked with CS and tried re-setting, and finally got onj with a tech.

All the tech did was tell me that there are still some glitches, but that they are looking tyo have all the problems resolved by the end of the month.

Thanks, i still have to get my issue resolved with the older channels. THey drop all the time. I hate calling DirecTV too.
