Bugg
Other than Eric Dickerson, whens' the last time a really good player was traded midseason? It doesn't happen. That said, if we're going to propose ridiculousness, trade D-rob and Mccariens to Hermie for Jared "DWI" Allen. Guy's a megadope, but a beast and a half and coming into FA at the end of the season. drago
Devin Hester yeah that would be great. we could play him on kick offs with leon and miller when he gets back. Sperm Edwards
The Meadowlands is windy......what's his record there? 5-6 since his shoulder surgery. And he won't have Coles/Cotchery with their sure hands & crisp routes for CP's possession-type passes. He is a bad fit in Chicago. And those 5 wins came against: - an '05 Dolphins team that would start 3-7 - an '06 Dolphins team that started 1-6 (that lone win being a 3-pt squeaker vs the 0-5 Titans) - the 3-13 Detroit Lions - the 6-10 Texans - the 2-14 Raiders ...real impressive. No one's tried to make an argument that CP can't beat awful teams.

124
Oh, our bad 6-6. 6 wins coming against teams that all finished their seasons under .500 because well you can write off Miami this year as a team who won't be .500. rick34125
I like Chad, but the idea of trading Pennington has a lot of merit, if the organization feels that Clemens can step in successfully. Pennington is a good QB, who wins more than he loses, but right now "the team" is not ready to take the next step anyway and probably won't be for another year or 2. Why not get at least one of the missing pieces by trading Pennington, who will probably be too old by the time this team can make a serious run? Pennington would be a great backup, definitely could hold down the fort for any team despite anyone's criticisms of him as a starter. I don't want to trade Pennington. No one really wants to trade Chad, but we're talking practically now. Besides why would Pennington want to back up Clemens when he could start on 65% of the teams in the league? Trading Pennington is about getting another valuable piece to build a better team. Pennington as a backup adds no real value to the team.
