Put me top of list that sold Lou and and the 07 Cubs short. I was cussing him less than 24 hours ago about last nights starting pitcher and I've been critical of more than a few of his tactical moves this year. That's why he's soaked in champaign in Cincinnati and I'm posting in a baseball forum on the internet. For all he does or doesn't do - he knows how to get professional ballplayers in the right mental attitude to win ball games. Thanks Lou, my jury's delivered their verdict and you know how to win. Thanks 07 Cubs, you've overachieved beyond my wildest dreams. Congrats fellow Cub fans - we've got more ball to play. Lets hope they keep it going.:thumbup::thumbup:

I think every "true" baseball fan wouldn't be upset too much with a Cubs WS victory. Lord knows you guys have more than paid your dues. Congrats and good luck !!!

CONGRATS CUBBIES FANS!!!

Chi Cubs 6, Cincinnati 0

CINCINNATI (AP) -- They lost on the field, fought in the dugout, fell out of contention before the season's midpoint. Then, the Chicago Cubs did something that defied their long history of failure and disappointment.

Somehow, they pulled together and won the division.

Chicago's two biggest offseason investments took them the final step toward the playoffs on Friday night. Alfonso Soriano hit another leadoff homer, Carlos Zambrano kept his cool, and the Cubs clinched the NL Central with a 6-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

"Hopefully we can have a few more little parties like this," said Lou Piniella, who enjoyed a champagne shower in his first season as the Cubs manager. "They're fun."

Great job, Sweet Lou.

Feels damn good.

I can't remember a season like this.

Hope, despair, happiness, pass the brown paper bag, joy, anger, etc. etc......... now new hope.

With the crazy NL finish, who knows who'll emerge?

It just might be the Cubs.

Get hot boys. need one of those good streaks.

Good season Brewers, you guys show a lot of promise.
