Kentucky Jet
Powered by Topix.net Hiring Cowher would be a coup for Bills (September 27, 2007)
faba
Cowher will be back as a coach IMO but I do not see it in Buffalo. And that to me is good since I think he is a very good coach.

Irish Jet
He is in no way shape or form a genius, but he is a good coach because of motivational skills if nothing else. It wont happen though, he will wnat to go a good team IMO, maybe carolina.

Kentucky Jet
Bill Cowher is a genius? No, not a genius, just a big winner! In the NFL that is much more important.

4HCrew
Cowher has told everyone he will not coach next year...he has a daughter that will be a senior in high school and he wants to support her through basketball and stuff
PFSIKH
Agreed! The guy is fine HC Is everyone joking? I like Cowher. He is a real good motivator. However, look at his track record. 1994 - Loses to the Chargers at home in the AFC Championship game despite being the favorite. 1995 - Almost loses another AFC Championship game at home, this time to a light weight Colts team. 1996 - Has more physical team and gets out-coached by Par$ells in New England. 1997 - Barely escapes a New England team at home that is missing it's top receiver (Glenn), TE (Coates), RB (Martin) and is coached by Pete Carroll. 2001 - Loses to the under dog Patriots at home in the AFC Championship game. 2004 - Again loses to the Patriots at home in the AFC Championship game. Rock solid D gets torched for 41 points. 2005 - Wins 4 of his 12 career playoff wins. Cincy loses Carson Palmer early. Big Ben saves a their choking asses from losing on a game saving trip. Then Seattle is robbed and chokes the game away to them. The guy has a history of coaching his teams into coming up short. Why do you want him? serphnx
Why would Cowher want to coach in the AFC East? That's a guaranteed 4 losses a year and doubtful chance at a playoff berth.
Green DNA
Bill Cowherheimer. He did have the one SB win, but lots of head scratching failures the rest of the time.
slats
I'm not that impressed with Cowher. The fact that Pittsburgh seems to be doing better without him this year isn't adding to his legacy, either. The rumor last year was Cowher to the Redskins, and I could still see that ond coming down the pike. Didn't his wife buy a house in the Virginia suburbs?
