serphnx
not anytime soon no matter how bad chad plays Yep. I'd be stunned if Clemens played before mid-season the earliest, barring injury. Chances are Chad gets to finish the season actually.

We're in a 1-3 hole that we will never climb out of. Pennington just blew our playoff chances today, if we ever had a chance.

penningtonfan82
We were 0-2 everyone was saying how we can get it done, were 1-3 same as 0-2, less games to play but were not 1-7 with 8 games left to play, people are ****ing ridiculous today! I trust Chad to get it done, he's not the problem. He had a bad game, but he hadn't looked bad against NE before he got hurt, that was the defense, and he hadn't looked bad against Miami obviously, I don't care how bad they are, he looked good then too, I have no worries. Not yet. Angry with the loss, absolutely, and a little frustrated with the last pass by Chad, but I'm not turning my back on him, I haven't yet and won't. Go JETS and go Chad! docdhc
To make the playoffs now we have to go at least 9-3 with New England, Cinci, Philly, Dallas, and Tenn still on the schedule. We are in big trouble.

#27TheDominator
You all want to see Clemens? Did you watch the first three quarters of the Ravens game? Sure he looked good in the fourth quarter, but maybe these aren't the 2000 Ravens any way. Derek Anderson isn't exactly ****ting his pants in there against them

Jetsfan80
the D blew more!! How so? By getting a huge 3 and out with 2 minutes to go, giving Chad and the offense another chance? Pennington threw picks on 2 consecutive drives that sealed the deal. Don't tell me the defense is to blame. They finally showed up when they needed to today. snow_monkey
Chad's picks were horrible. But he's not the only one who should wear a paper bag over their head this week. TJ / Leon should have gotten better ypc against these guys. Nuge should not miss a kick like that. And our D? They made a pos like Edwards look like P.Manning (well, not quite, but still). This was a must win game and we gave it away. No silver lining on this one.

The D gave up 10 points. Chad gave them 7 himself. hoping4ASuperBowl
The D did look a little bit better today, but they are not showing nearly enough consistantly to be off the hook. Thats exactly it. Consistency. Their were some really good spurts were we did wonderful stopping the run. Then they threw and a lot of the times we couldn't put pressure on the QB. Edwards should have been making some serious rookie mistakes but obviously that doesnt happen against our defense.

People were encouraged at 0-2 because we had just seen a 1 quarter glimpse of what a real offense could look like for us. Beating the Phish by 3 and losing to what was the worst team in football with our savior Chad Pennington running the offense is not encouraging to a lot of Jet fans. List me as one of the not encouraged.

Chad had the Jets score 31 points in that game, the D is what allowed the 'Phins to start a comeback, because the D sucks too. 1 quarter of Kellen doesn't mean ****, Chad would have to have more then one bad game to get him pulled at all. That's all he had thus far was 1 crap game, along with the rest of the team, no one played great today!

Even Penny's mistake aside, he should be able to put up 18 points. I'm not saying that he/they shouldn't, I'm saying giving the other team the ball on the 25 does not equal an automatic TD. Unless your D blows or you want to blame the QB for everything. I'll give Penny the blame for a FG there, (along with the blame for not putting up 18) but the blame for the walking 25 yards and scoring is squarely on the D. Good teams don't concede that TD. SpartanJet
The game was tied 7-7 in the 4th Q, and the defense produced 2 turnovers that Chad wasted. You can't really ask for anything more from a non elite defense. Im sure they were gassed in the 4th from being hung out to dry all game due to Chads inability to lead drives all game. The defense wasn't pretty statistically, but games aren't won or lost on statistics. This game is on Chad.
bobbyjet69
The defense gave up TEN points. That's funny when the score was 17?! Yeah he threw an int at the 25! The D let them score on 4th and goal! with a Rookie QB.
