Smizzy
Ok. So now that it's offical that Chad is indeed a Piece of garbage...it's now the coaches fault? The coach who is stuck with pennington and his contract and has been since he got here? Yesterday Chad is the Man....now he not only sucks but we are blamming others for his inadequacies? Unreal. The coach who is stuck with pennington and his contract and has been since he got here? Unreal. Yeah but, how do you explain this poor excuse of a defence? Smizzy, I usually agree with you, but if we praised him on all of the wins last year, he has to take the blame for this defence.
penningtonfan82
Mangini is a saint! He had nothing to do with this game at all! Why would anyone say it's his fault??? Hmmm....

The Troll
I blame Chad for the offense and Mangini for the defense. Mangini also shouldn't get a free pass for trading a 2nd round pick for a garbage RB.
4HCrew
how about we play a defense suited to the personnel? how about we play a guy that can suit the offense? how about a game plan that is not more conservative than HACKETT? mangenious my a$$
Barton
Lets just get it over with already....... Sell the team to Chad Pennington. Change the name to "New York Chads", and build a new stadium called "Chad Pennington Arena". Then, start Chad Pennington at Quarterback for the Jets the rest of his life. penningtonfan82
How about we just blame who's resposible for the loss....instead of everybody else? Who threw two int's ? How ignorant are u? Chad had 2 int, yep we get it, but you hate Chad, and blind yourself of seeing that the defense made a rookie QB feel like the next coming of Peyton Manning, and we missed a field goal, which would have put us in a position to be tied, and then win this thing. There was a time where Chad walked off the field at 4th and 1 when they could have taken all the chances in the world and went for it, and who knows where the drive would have went? I have no reason to see why Mangini can't be blamed for some of this loss. Instead of having Chad pass on the last play, they could have ran the ball for a few more yards, and sent Nugent out there and pray for the best, plenty of things could have gone differently but hadn't. Instead Chad gets picked off on a ball he was throwing away! And we lose a game that had more mistakes then 2 Chad interceptions.

4HCrew
cmon Smizzy cut me a break already the dink and dunk is a friggin joke..the defense cannot make a stop at all..a rookie qb had his way with us...I am sure Clemens can spread the field a bit especially against a defense decimated with injuries..it is not like Nate Clements was at corner.. Smizzy
The Defense ? Doesn't matter who is to blame...it's not on Mangini. He wasn't on the field today. He wasn't playing defense and he wasn't throwing the football.
snow_monkey
I'm less than impressed with our coaching this year. On both sides of the ball. But no coaching staff can turn **** into gold. We need better players.

He wasn't playing defense and he wasn't throwing the football. If that's the case, then Herm was not at fault either for running this team to the ground. The Buck starts and ends with the coach. We played one of the worst teams in football, and the scoreboard might not say so, but we got our arses kicked. A roockie qb that looked like Montana. Ghost
If you look at all the past SB winners, every single team had a dominate LB. We have that, but he doesn't fit in this defensive scheme. Build the damn team around him, go back to 4-3 please. Start Clemens, grab a LG, and a pass rusher, we'll be fine. Just change this defense. You can blame Chad for this loss but in all honesty this team is just not very good. Our defense couldn't stop a rookie RB and a rookie QB. The offensive line is average and Thomas Jones got a grand total of 35 yards on 12 carries. You can blame Chad all you want, but also blame Mangini and Tanenbaum. MasonJet
It's unbelievable how people are ripping on Mangini now. Chad basically had 2 bad, awful passes today and they cost us the game and other than that he played great. The D should not get a pass for the way they could not deal with a rookie QB from what Stanford? The OL's run blocking was once again not good. I agree with wat you're saying but isn't alot of that Mangini's fault? Our defense can't stiop anyone and OL is average, maybe below average. But if you ask Barton everything is Chad's fault. Maybe Chad Pennginton is to blame for the deficit.

Bob
Yes...there is plenty of blame to go around but that doesn't change anything said about Pennington today. It may not change anything said, but it also doesn't change the fact that most of what was said was a load of crap. Putting this whole loss on Pennington is sheer idiocy. Letting Mangini off the hook is idiocy, too. They both bear some blame, as does the defense.
