Jetsfan80
The Rockies are currently in the middle of a HUGE rally against the D-Backs. 4-1 Colorado with the bases loaded and no one out in the bottom of the 8th. The Padres lost today, meaning that a Colorado win will result in a 1-game playoff between the 2 teams to decide the NL Wild Card. Coors Field is going nuts. toon88
another reason for Philly to celebrate. Padres held Peavy out today, hoping they would win and be able to use him for Game 1 against Philly. Now he will go tomorrow against Colorado, thus not being able to pitch against the Phils until game 3, if they win tomorrow.
Jetsfan80
Brandon Lyon gets a strikeout and a double play to end the inning (excellent job by him). The score remains 4-1 Rockies heading into the 9th inning. Please note that, if Colorado wins, the 1-game playoff will be played at Coors Field (pre-determined by coin flip) according to this article http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Sep/25/br/br8345701692.html
Jetsfan80
Uh-oh, Arizona just put runners on 2nd + 3rd via back-to-back hits. No one out in the 9th, and up steps the tying run to the plate, Augie Ojeda. Game isn't over just yet.

Jetsfan80
2 runs have just come in for AZ on a sacrifice fly and a single by Alberto Collapso. 2 outs in the inning, runner on 1st for the D-Backs, 4-3 score. Nail-biting time for Rockies fans.
Jetsfan80
Game over, Rockies win! One-game playoff tomorrow. Jake Peavy will be making the start for San Diego. The game will be played in Colorado. Amazing stuff. And to think, if the Mets had won today, we'd be looking at a 4-way tie!
anskyruben
Padres are a bunch of chokers. The Rockies should win that game.

anskyruben
Even with Peavy on the mound? Yup. The fact the game is being played at the launching pad will make a difference.
Scott Dierking
Yup. The fact the game is being played at the launching pad will make a difference. Colorado is no longer the launching pad it once was. It is a doubles and triples park now.
