NJ
.....next week James Chadwick Pennington will be the starting quarterback for the New York Jets. He will probably lead a couple half azzed drives and the Jets will beat the Giants. And we will go one step forward and two steps back.

Irish Jet
Chad will paly well and we will lose. Thats what I see happening, it will just underline the fact that our D is the main problem. Chad will be fine.
faba
To top off all the bad news lately I see us losing to the giants- to add insult to this season. At least the Giants can threaten you on offense unlike Chad and the Jets.
serphnx
We are going to get crushed. Chad will manage his usual 2 TDs against the Giants D that everyone else blows out.

Schottzie's dink and dunk is driving me nuts.

The worst part we are already 0 and 2 in the division and 1 and 3 in the AFC. Giants win will not even help us in tie breakers if we can even think about that. Schottzie's dink and dunk is driving me nuts. It's not Scotties dink and dunk, it's chads dink and dunk. Has nobody else noticed how ever since Chad has been QB we have always had issues with our offensive coordinators for dinking and dunking? Even when we hired Mike Heimerdinger because he was known for airing it out we complained about the dink and dunk. Ever think it is because these offensive coordinators were handcuffed by Chads skill set?

Johnnybones
With the way our defense is, I just don't see how we can get wins with Chad as our QB. We need Clemens in there badly. The defense is going to take some time to fix. QB can be fixed by next week. Make it happen, Eric.

Not without a hop skip and a jump. and if you watched the game, the Bills DB's were jumping routes all day long because they have no fear of Pennington throwing the ball down the field. he can't throw intermediate passes of 20-25 yards to stretch the field, that's a problem. He clearly can't throw it without a huge risk of INTs if the coaching staff will never do it even in third and long situations. THe only time he threw deep today was a 20 yard throw to a insanely wide open Brad Smith.

We are already out of contention. We're 1-3. And you're right. If the Giants D can get that much pressure on McNabb, then CP is going to throw 3 INTs in the first half alone. It's possible that McNabb can come back. Oh btw, he doesn't really have WRs outside of Westbrook who is out.

I have 100% faith in Mangini, but he's still just a 2nd year coach. do you remember Bill Parcells rookie year blunder with Bruener(sp?) and Simms? even he made mistakes. it's live and learn and he would be sacrificing the season if he played Clemens right now. and I don't think he wants to do that yet. sorry BP you are right..feel free to explain how the Jets can beat the steelers, giants, eagles..funny how you all feel a 9-7 or 8-8 is ok...I want rings..but as a jet fan I should know better being competitive is a successful season 4H, you're always negative dude. you're the king of gloom and doom. we were 2-3 last year and nobody expected us to win the last 3 games of the season. but we did. that's why you play the games. Papageorgio268
The way I see it, we will not make it to the playoffs with this defense no matter who plays at quarterback. But instead of wasting the rest of the season with Chad at the helm, I think we should let Clemens come in and adjust to the game speed of the NFL. Then, with the draft picks and cap space that we have next year, revamp both lines. Then next year, instead of having a 1st year starter at quarterback, with a solid team around him, we will have a quarterback with a strong arm who has already made the transitional mistakes, providing leadership to a predominately new defensive unit and leading the offense to one of the better seasons in Jets history. Instead, we will have weak-armed Chad leading us no where. I consider myself a huge Jets fan, but I am slowly coming to the realization that this may not be our season to hoist the Lombardi trophy. Build for the future.
