Maxman
First, I love the start time of these games. Good compromise between getting the NY team on at prime time and working the west coast games in. I think some kids will finally get to see the entire game for the postseason which helps the sport long term. But if the Indians or Yankees win in 3, they would have 4 days off before the ALCS. Wow. The All Star break is shorter than that. Just found that interesting. A very hot team could get cold in a hurry with that much off time.
124
How can you love the start times of these games? 5, 5:30, 6 and 6:30? What the hell kind of times are those!? They are not only right in the middle of dinner but have fun getting to those games after work. A half hour or hour really does make a big difference. These are **** times and they should've have been played at 1, 4 and 7 or 7:30.

These are **** times and they should've have been played at 1, 4 and 7 or 7:30. Kids are in school at 1. Adults are at work at 4. These times are a very good compromise as kids get to watch the entire games. And most of corporate america can catch most of the game as well. They couldn't start them at 7 or 7:30. If they had their pick they would have chosen 8pm as they always do. It wasn't an option. Also 50,000 people view the game in person. Millions watch it on tv. So they won't pick the start time based on traffic. If you have tickets, take a half day. It is that simple.
124
Then the games should all be played at 7, 7:30 or 10. 10pm for the West Coast games such as Colorado and Los Angeles and 7 or 7:30, sometimes 4, for East Coast games. Adults are home from work by 5, 5:30, if one game starts at 4 on Friday it won't kill them. These times flat out suck. Its that simple huh? Okay. Game starts at 1 or 4? Take a half day at work and yank your kid out of school at Noon if its a 1pm game. Its that simple!
MasonJet
I like these new start times. At least now the games won't be ending at freakin midnight. I'm gonna have a serious decision to make on Thursday night though and having the game start at 6:30 makes it a little easier. The Rangers first game is that night not to mention 30 Rock and The Office. I have quite the conondrum to face.
Barton
These game times are terrible. I cant get up for a frickin 4 pm game on a Friday. Thats like trying to masturbate to a picture of Max in a thong. It just doesnt work, for me at least. Not to mention, I have a late thursday class and will miss the first few innings. mbn007
These start times work for me. No more games ending at early morning hours, leaving no time for sleep before heading off to work the next day. I, for one, love this.

faba
It is a lot better than having games start at 8:30 or so and going late into the night. Especially when you have to get up at 5 AM like me!
Bob
I like the start times, too. Max is right about kids being able to watch the games. As for Barton, beating the bishop to a pic of Max in a thong, I wouldn't have expected it to work, but I give you credit for trying. Maybe some tats would help. Try a pic of Smizzy. BTW - Cubbies fans will now see what it is like for your team to start games at abnormal hours, just like Yankees fans have put up with all these years (playing the Angels, As and Mariners many times the past 12 seasons). These times work better for me. Five pm is 11 here. Those 8:00 games started at 2 a.m. here. My wife kept finding me drooling on the recliner with no idea of the score. Not really for the Phillies. The 9:30pm start is on a Saturday so they should be able to watch the entire game without having to worry about work on Sunday. The Cubs on the other hand have three games during the week with a 10:00pm start time. Even the Sox fan might have a tough time with a 9:30 start on Monday for game 4. I wonder though. If a series ends early would they maybe move the start time for the Cubs and D-Backs ?
