Scott Dierking
Glavine has an option that he must exercise within 5 days of the close of the season. He says he will likely decline it. This makes for a better offseason already. Get that nibbling, soft tossing, sullen, show no emotion, six inning and get me out Atlanta Brave off this team. Why someone thought that it was a good idea to ever have him on thsi team, I will never know. It was a smidgen bit exciting going after win 300, but that was the extent of it. And worst of all was his Sunday interview "Am I devestated? No I am not devestated. There are miuch more importnat things in life". Bye Tom. Thanks for making it easy on the club. One big step in the right direction.
BP
He never shows emotion, and was not upset at all about losing that last game. pathetic. Not a good example for the younger players (along with poker playing Rickey Henderson). the Mets should clean house with the older players and dumbass coaches. There are plenty of other players that the New York Mets can waste 11 million dollars on and get nothing in return. I am Tom Glavine will no longer be wasting the club's money. This guy grew up in Billerica, MA. There is no such thing as a placid person from Billerica, MA. Impossible. I think he's an alien. Either that, or the spawn of some really boring person. Tom is an intellectual, and intellectuals (so I am told) do not allow their emotions to show. Far beneath him. He would much rather have had his career in the NHL, his true love. NIGHT STALKER
You think they are interested in Igawa? Good call Max...if they jumped on Glavine, they sure as hell will go for Igawa. Especially after we include a 2007 signed Yankees team WS Championship ball in the pot....hey, don't laugh Mets fans....ball could be worth a lot of money in 50 years. No, you are the absolute authority on everything. What the heck was I thinking!? As if living in the metropolitan Boston area would make me qualified to make such a statement! Shame on me. Anyway, please do give us your views on the Glavin choke job and his post game comments - the ones many view as a big FU to Mets fans.

Giving an informed opinion does not make one an "absolute authority", but apparently that's what you think. I've been posting on this board every day, regardless of whether the Mets win or lose. If you want to see my Glavine comments, go do a search. I'm not repeating them for you. Where were you for ten days after the Cheaters were exposed? Your absence was lame. Yourt opimion of me does not make or break my day - so it's really irrelevant what you think. However, as I have stated before, there is an ignore feature here. I urge you to put it to good use. I also urge you to listen to more Sarah Silverman - maybe her sense of humor will rub off a little.

joebabyny
I have to admit, I am not a great baseball fan, and don't understand being a mets fan in nyc, especially since the last few times i was there it seemed more like a reggeaton party then a baseball game, but glancing over this thread and the overall trend in the garb/jetcane fued as of late, I am wondering what the real pecking order is for public enemy number 1 between jetcane, jgb, and me. At least i am in decent company with two lawyers. Here is how i see it 3 JGB--he has been away for a while, and ya know what they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder 2 Joebabyny--just because he ain't trying to start s##t 1 Jetcane--seems like my boy hit his breaking point and took a little heat off me, thanks player, that 19 year old asian girl I smuggled in my Tumi suitcase is in a box and on the way out to you, thanks again!
