All college basketball fans will be enjoying an all-night party, either in person or on TV (ESPNU is covering Midnite Madness all over the country tonight). As for myself, I'll be enjoying a slam dunk contest, lip synching and dance contests, and a intra-squad scrimmage at Trask Coliseum (go Seahawks!). College basketball season cannot come soon enough. I need something to distract me from this train wreck of a season they are having. Being in the Smith Center Friday night was a welcome sight. Instead of being pissed at how bad the Jets are I was in a great environment looking at a very solid basketball squad. Carolina football is getting better with Butch, so I am glad about that....but still, I need something positive to cheer about because moral victories can only get you so far. The UNCW Seahawks look better than ever, the band was great, the atmosphere was electric, and best of all.... I won a 42" flat-screen HD TV in a shooting contest! Amazing night. Go Seahawks!
