You feel for a guy who thuggishly held someone while multiple others went to town on his face?

Unless the victim punched his wife or sister or something, he's a thug.

Its not as much that, I feel sorry for the fact that his life, starting with his career seems to be falling to pieces.

This is a thuggish act but we dont know the reasons behind it, we can only speculate as to why he'ddo this.

A | A | A Knoxville (WVLT) - A brawl outside a Knoxville bar landed a former U.T. and NFL football star in police custody.

Volunteer TV's Rob Pratt is following the story.

Cedric Houston is a free man tonight, thanks to an unusual decision by a court official, who changed her mind.

But, those familiar with court procedure say the circumstances surrounding his release unusual.

Houston was booked into the Knox County Detention Center around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning after a 19-year-old college student told officers that Houston held him down while three other unidentified men beat him, on the steps outside New Amsterdam Bar on the strip.

The strange circumstances began when the judicial commissioner got involved.

It is routine for a judicial commissioner to review cases to make sure that probable cause exists to issue a warrant.

Judicial Commissioner Karmen Waters made that determination and the warrant was issued.

But, in an unpredictable and highly unusual move, Waters decided just an hour later to void the warrant and refer the case back to the police for further investigation.

Waters also voided Houston's 2005 warrant for failing to appear in court on a traffic violation for following too closely.

Volunteer TV spoke with Waters by phone, but she told us it would be inappropriate for her to comment on this case because it is still being investigated by police.

Houston is not presently charged with any crime in connection with this incident.

Police could bring new evidence to a judicial commissioner again and another probable cause determination would be made.

Is the alleged victim telling the truth or looking at how much money he can get?

"Don't Taze me Bro!"

Speculation is not the only thing we can do. We can wait until all facts are out and pray that he keeps out of trouble in the meantime.
