JetCane
If the Jets drop to 1-4, I would expect Mangini to make an announcement this week that he is changing QBs. Thats jmo, but I wont go ape**** making a barrage of posts about it

Well, the playing bad thing is really subjective. They will be what their record is, which is a more objective standard. If he had somehow managed to pull that game out vs the Bills, all his stats would be looked at in a different light. it could have been 33-39 and 300 yards and a win. But throw in the two picks, and a loss to an inferior team, and his completion rate doesnt matter, and his inadequacies are highlighted.

Fair enough. i have defended mangini's decision to go with CP as the starter, just as a matter of deferring to his judgment. I know some Clemens fans have interpreted that as being a Chad homer, but really it is just supporting the decision of the HC. i'm just saying that if they lose tomorrow, it might be a good time for him to change horses. And if he does, I'll support that decision, too. And if the Jets win, it will probably be a non-issue for mangini this week.

I understand what your saying, I think I'm one of the biggest Chad Supporters here, I know sooner or later if they don't get passed 1 win, Chad will be benched, hard as it is for me to say that, but I believe unless he plays bad, it won't be soon, this is Chad's team right now. I just have a good feeling about this weekend, I have had it for a few days now, and I hope I'm right. Either way, I back whoever is QB, but I feel that it will still be Chad, through October atleast. I believe though that he will be the starter through the rest of this season. I have seen a lot of QBs play in Green and White over 40 years (damn, the age thing sucks lol) and I have never not rooted for any of them. I am not hung up on Pennington having to be the QB- I grew up rooting for namath- he is the gold standard for me, so a guy would have to be a pretty damn good Jet QB for me to invest myself in his personal success. I want CP to do well because it means the jets are doing well. If he aint getting it done anymore and winning games, gots to go with the young gunslinger. The bills game was a turning point for turning up the heat on CP, because thats the game they were supposed to win. When they went 10-6 last year, it was because they beat the teams they needed to beat. i hope they win tomorrow, since i am going and will be drinking with all the JN guys. It could get ugly LMAO
Jet Moses
After tomorrow, my life is going to suck. Just like it did yesterday. I really don't need to live vicariously through a pathetic sports franchise owned by a bald headed fu*k named Woody Johnson to somehow validate that reality. NIGHT STALKER
If Chad plays badly today and loses I will start to call for Clemens too, I dont think thats gonna happen though!!! If the Gints play as well as they did last week, you won't have to call for Clemens...their D will make the call for you.
Irish Jet
If the Gints play as well as they did last week, you won't have to call for Clemens...their D will make the call for you. If they get 12 sacks they will. They wont get 12 sacks if they play as well as they did last week. They were playing a totally different offence in Philly last week, an offence that was inviting pressure on McNabb. Our short passing game (yes the dink and dunk game) should be able to keep the guys off of Chad, expect a lot of screen and draw plays early and expect them to be succesful.
