shawn306
Alot depends on Joe. Posada: Stays Rivera : Must Stay A-Rod: Will go wherever the money is Pettitte: Should stay but if Joe goes then he probably goes as well. Abreu: Should stay, might go. madmike1
We need to figure out a way to dump Giambi. How is Giambi the problem? He was hurt most of the season and will probably be a platoon player next year...

He wasnt neccesarily the problem, but he's not the answer either. He's a waste of a roster spot essentially at this point.

He was hurt this year. Thats obvious. Why not wait and see if he's healthy because if he's healthy he'll hit and he won't be a waste.

nugentfan1
i think they'll all stay if joe stays. if joe goes i think pettitte will be gone too and if pettitte goes arod will go, and if they both go posada will go and so on. so basically the futures of those 4 stars as far as with the yankees goes, depends on the future of joe torre. think about that GS
mbn007
If Joe stays, they all come back, assuming the financial details are worked out. If Joe is fired, maybe Posada and Mo will be enticed to return. Andy will leave, and so might A-Rod.
Latinlawyer
The question to ask is Are Mo, A-rod, Posada and Petitte loyal to a) Torre or The Yankees This of course presumes that GS goes nuts and fires Torre. If they are loyal to A then I would think Mo and Posada leave and A-Rod opts out. Pettitte might stay if Rocket stays. LL

Barton
All of them need to stay. All of them. Giambi needs the boot, and we need a real 1st baseman. Not Doug Mientkiewicz either. I am open to finding a right handed bat for a corner OF spot as well. Abreu has a 16 mill option, which is a fair market value price I suppose, but I am not married to him in RF. And obviously, a LFer might be a cause for concern. Matsui cant play LF anymore. Damon can, but his legs constantly need rest and he throws like a girl. Not to mention, he doesnt generate a whole lotta power from that spot. Matsui/Abreu, stay or go?
